At Randall W. Smith DDS we want you to feel at home and become part of the family. Sure, we could tell you where we went to school, how many certifications or degrees we have, and what organizations we belong to but really what matters is who we are as people!
We are located in the heart of downtown, Oceanside. As the name of our street says, we are just up from the famous Oceanside Pier. Originally built in 1888, the pier has been re-built 5 times since then due to storms. You may remember that name of our street was once Third Street, but that was changed about 15 years ago to Pier View Way.
Our location is known for several notable landmarks: Across the street from St. Marys Church; Across the street from the original city hall and Fire Station #1; Next door to the Steiger Building; kitty-corner to the new city hall; and finally, behind the Bank of America.
Located on the corner of Pier View Way and Ditmar, we have our own parking, and easy access to our office. We invite you to enjoy a little bit of historic Oceanside when you visit us, and if youre here in the late afternoon, you will catch a breathtaking view of our beautiful sunsets.
The building we call home was built in 1948. Some of you old-timers will remember coming to this building when you were just kids. You may be interested in knowing that Dr. Smith has been here over half of its 65 years!

I've been to many dentist office and have not found one as good as this. I am from VA visiting SanDiego and my bridge was loose all weekend. I called many dentist office around the Oceanside area and none could take me due to preschedule appointment. When I called Dr. Smith's office the receptionist listened to my problem and immediately said yes come on in and we will fit you in. I was impressed of how caring they were. Got there and felt the smiles and greets from everyone. He took care of my issue withing an hour. I strongly recommend Dr. Smith for his knowledge and work and for all the people in his office who were so helpful and caring.

Sub-par dentistry at a premium price, Randall Smith DDS is a charming office above a law office near Oceanside city hall. When you first walk in, pure greeted by a small but comfortable waiting room, with a separate doorway to the receptionist. The staff here are all very friendly and are very nice in how they speak to patients. However, the fillings done here don't seem to hold well, and the dental work in general seem rushed, especially when this is the most expensive dental bill per filling I've ever received. The friendly service is the reason for the 3 stars, but if possible, try to find another dentist.

I've been coming here since 1990 and compared to other dentists I've been to recently, Dr Smith and his staff are the best. I don't know why I ever went anywhere else.
