He has spent the past 23years of his career creating beautiful smiles in Georgia, using only the highest quality materials and clinically proven methods. To keep current with the advancements made in orthodontic technology, Dr. Grant completes extensive annual continuing education through his memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the North Georgia Dental Society.

Dr. Grant and his wife have lived in Atlanta since 1997, raising two children and being active members of the community. From giving gifts to local schools and complimentary care to those in need, giving back has always been something dear to his heart.

At Grant Orthodontics, we work hard to treat our patients the same way we would like to be treated: with respect, courtesy, and sensitivity toward our needs. We understand the expectations of the patients and families we serve, and we do everything we can to make sure that each patient has an exceptional experience at our practice.

An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has received two to three years of additional training and experience. Your orthodontist is able to straighten teeth, correct misaligned jaw structure, and improve the function of your smile.

If you want to improve the look and feel of your smile, then any age can be a great age to see the orthodontist. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first visit an orthodontist around the age of seven; however, orthodontic treatment is not exclusive to children and teens, with about one in every five orthodontic patients being over the age of 21. Whether you're considering treatment for yourself or for a child, any time is a good time to visit the orthodontist.

  • Keep your retainer clean, too, by brushing it gently with a toothbrush and toothpaste. You may also soak it in denture cleaner as instructed by your orthodontist. Do not put your retainer in boiling water or in the dishwasher.
  • Avoid sticky and chewy foods (caramel, chewing gum, gummy bears), hard foods (hard candy, nuts, ice cubes), or any foods that could possibly get stuck in your braces (corn on the cob, soft bagels, ribs, taffy, etc.).
  • The amount of time spent in braces will vary depending on the individual patient, because every smile responds differently to treatment. Treatment times can take anywhere between six and 30 months, but most standard treatments take about 22 months.

With braces, you should brush your teeth at least three times a day to keep your teeth, gums, and mouth healthy and clean. Brushing regularly will help remove any food that may be caught between the braces. You should also floss daily to get in between your braces where your brush isn't able to reach. Your orthodontist can show you how to properly brush and floss once your braces are placed.

Yes! In fact, it's even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. With braces, food may be caught in places that your toothbrush can't reach. This causes bacteria to build up that can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease. Your dentist will work closely with your orthodontist to make sure that your teeth stay clean and healthy while wearing braces.

Playing an instrument or a contact sport may require some adjustment when you first get your braces, but wearing braces will not stop you from participating in any of your school activities. If you play a contact sport, it is recommended that you wear a mouthguard to protect your braces or appliance.

I had the worst experience, they pulled my daughter tooth, stated it was a baby tooth, needless to say it was not and I had to spend more money out of pocket to have an implant done on her teeth after the braces. Horrible

Dr. Grant and his staff are amazing. I was so impressed with their service, that I decided to get braces for myself after my daughter had such an amazing experience. It is always a joy visiting the office. Keep up the good work guys!

First of all the staff from my own experience are sweet and nice. His staff he just talk to them any kind of way. I was having a great experience however that changed. I got one month behind he stop treatment and added unnecessary charges/fees. I went through major surgery he was not understanding he claim he had no idea. Lies because he was in contact with his office manager about everything. Worst place ever. Dr Grant is not understanding at all, however he is in the business of collecting monies and not performing services tho. I had braces with his office for 23 months he continue to take payments but refused do adjustments. After getting caught up he still didn't do treatment. The office always came with some excuse he gave them. He took my braces off after collecting all but 430 of 3240 contract he told me I had to pay 600 retainers. I laughed at the thought of him thinking he was going to get any more money from me. I lost so much money with this man. However I would never recommend anyone. I have been having hard time finding another orthodontist due to the fact the treatment was left unfinished and I would have to start all over again under their care.

At first I thought staff and doctor was great but as soon as I had an issue it was as if Dr. Grant did not want to hear the entire story. My son first miss appt. was when i called at 330 appt. Was at 4. I let them know i was waiting for my son because they won't let him go b4 4 since they were testing but still i may be able to get there by 415pm. Staff was adamant about if I'm more than 15 minutes late that he will not see my son and encouraged me to make another appointment so i took her advice after I insist I'm sure I can make it and still they charged 35.00 but said they will waive. But they have no problem making you wait over an hour and which I have done all the time I have gone there except for once. During the snow days staff from his office called me and told me if they was not going to be there the next day due to anticipated snowing they will call me, guess what they never called me and I drove through the snow due to them not calling to tell me they are closed and when i called they didn't answer in which sometimes they don't. When I arrived there they were closed. They did not apologize or really accommodate me for another appointment. The one spot they did have I had to put one of my clients off to make my son appointment for the day they wanted him to come but me being the type of boss I am I compensated my client. Second time i missed they didn't inform me I had an appt. But doctor Grant didn't care about that or listen to the reason he just kept saying he won't waive so i didn't want to talk over his repeated sentence of he won't waive the 35.00 so i didn't finish my sentence. I paid my son acct in full and staff discouraged that but did let me but said it would be a credit on his acct. and every month they will take the monthly fee from that. I don't know what's up with that maybe tax purposes. If dr. Grant was more professional and not cutting me off when trying to explain my situation to him I think I would have a better attitude about him not waiving the fee. But he was entirely rude. I would never treat my clients in that matter ever and I have my own company. It was as if he was dr. Jekyll mr. Hyde. I can't wait until my son finish his treatment. Another thing I didn't understand why they will put the top braces on and then months later put the bottom on. I have had several children who got their braces in Texas and none of them have had that to happen. And out of 14 children four had braces including my fiance son and daughter which is 6. I think if you could put both on at the same time without wasting your client money and time it should be done. It's just so much mess with this place.

This facility could be a great one but the Doctor needs to be removed. I have only been at this facility two months and the Doctor has been unexpectedly rude and unprofessional.I highly recommend that no one visits or receive service here. Dr.Grant is an individual who can't accept a remark let alone feedback.
