Dr. Melissa Quintana is a Miami native. She initially developed her passion for dentistry working as a dental assistant at the age of 18 where she fell in love with dentistry. After obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Biology and Chemistry she continued her studies and received a Masters Degree in Biomedical Science. She then decided to stay close to home and attend graduate school at Nova Southeastern University College of Dentistry in South Florida obtaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree.
Dr Quintana is committed to Advanced Continuing Education, attending lectures throughout the USA where she focuses her studies on Cosmetics and Full Mouth Rehabilitation. She has completed several advanced cosmetic courses with Aesthetic Advantage Inc at the Rosenthal Institute at New York University alongside Dr Michael Apa and Larry Rosenthal. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry undergoing a 5 year accreditation program. In addition, she is a member of Miami Dade Dental Society, Florida Dental Association, and American Dental Association, and several study clubs throughout South Florida.
Dr. Q as you may very well know her, has an eye for esthetics and loves making a difference in peoples lives by improving their smile and overall oral health. Upon founding Dr Q Dentistry in 2015 she has been dedicated to providing her patients with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere where she focuses on her patients oral health and overall well being.

Stefy is always so happy and a pleasure to work with. She is a dentist from Cali, Colombia and is going to school to become a dentist in the U.S. Her favorite part of the day is doing temporary veneers on our patients and assisting with the permanent veneer process.
Cynthya is the newest member of our team and always willing to help. She is originally a dentist in Caracas Venezuela and is very knowledgeable on smile designs and other dental treatments . Cynthya believes that oral health is just as important as esthetics when it comes to a smile.
Yvettes work ethic is like no other. She was born in Colombia and graduated from Miami Dade College Dental Hygiene program in 2012 and has additional Training in local anesthesia. She enjoys building patient trust in order to Educate and Motivate them to achieve and maintain their Optimal Oral Health.
Elianie was born and raised in Miami, FL. and got her Bachelors in Biology. She decided to become a Digital Dental Design Specialist where she now focuses her time designing our cases in-house. Her favorite part of the day is getting to know the patients and their desires and seeing the final transformation come to life.
Dr. Q Dentistry represents modern day dentistry. Dr. Q's goal was to open a dental office in the area where she was raised and treat patients where she can create lifelong relationships. Her vision was to create a dental office where patients can think of the dentist as a place where they can manage their oral health in a professional setting while feeling relaxed and comfortable in a warm friendly environment.

I have been to various dentists in the past but Dr. Q Dentistry will be my go-to from now on! I'm a very anxious person but Dr. Quintana and her wonderful team ensured my comfort during my dental cleaning. I am so relieved to have discovered this office. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and caring about their patients' dental health. Dr. Quintana is so sweet and professional. I believe anyone would be satisfied with their visit!

Where do i start... I'm new to the area and switched dentist because my dentist was in Hialeah and I was now living in Kendall. I had a check up and cleaning and overall it went well. Dr Q even complimented my skin. She said i had great skin. I thought to myself, seems like a good place. Well 6/28 comes around and i had to go in to see her unexpectedly because over the weekend a molar cracked. I was NOT in pain or feeling any discomfort but obviously had to get it fixed. 1st of all. Dr Q wanted to charge me the complete total up front for crown which I did not understand why. Oh and make sure you have cash on hand or money in the bank because if you need to charge it, its 3% above the total that the customer pays for. Regardless, that has never been the case/policy anywhere else I have gone. She claimed that insurances tend to deny crowns and if they approved it she would reimburse me. Luckily or unfortunately I talked her into allowing me to pay half. I say unfortunately because had she not taken half the payment i would have left and not gotten any work done saving me a-lot of pain and grief. So Dr Q begins to work on prepping me for my crown and several times states my mouth is too small. Never heard that one either. Places this gadget to keep my tongue from getting in the way. Later her assistant places temp crown but while she is doing that she's talking to another co worker about a new TV and how many inches and I'm thinking its only my mouth she is working on. Anyways, I go home and felt discomfort that night, pain and discomfort the following day, and the following. Finally decided to call them and let them know and I went back in. Dr Q checked me and i told her i was in pain but she put some air on my temp crown and when i jumped she said oh thats the problem and asked her assistant to seal it with whatever cement substance they use. Mind you assistant and coworkers back with their personal conversations that i really didn't need to be part of. So i go home and OMG i had the worse night ever. I was taking 2x625 tylenols plus 2x200 Advils every 4 to 6 hours. I was in excruciating pain. I called the office Saturday morning and left a message because thats what it said to do if i had an emergency, so i did. Needless to say no one ever called me back. Well i was this way all of Saturday, Sunday, Monday (4th of July). Finally i decided i was not going back to Dr Q and went back to my old dentist in Hialeah. The best ever by the way! It turns out my root was dead which is like necrosis of a toe and i had to have a root canal and am currently taking antibiotics. Funny thing is my root was just fine according to Dr Q so something must have happened during the prep to kill my root. Anyways, following my root canal with Dr Garcia (best dentist ever) i got home and did not experience any pain. I did not have to take anymore pain killers. Before i got home i did go to see Dr Q to let her know how my weekend was in excruciating pain but she was too busy with veneers and i was told she would call me back. Oh and before i forget, when i walked in the front desk girl said at 1:00pm hours after they opened, oh i was just about to call you because i got your message. Three days later. Really? Dr Q called me back and i told her everything i went through and what Dr Garcia told me had happened which she said couldn't be true. She also said that she would not proceed with my treatment at my request but refused to refund me for any of the money i paid her. Also, submitted claim to insurance which i had to call and let them know everything that happened so that they don't pay her their portion. And she tells them that the work was completed and the crown was ready. When did the crown get done? Because when i spoke to her the day before she never said it was ready. All of sudden its ready. Funny thing is I recall asking her multiple times not to make the crown until the insurance covered it. Bottom line. I do not recommend her. I've had the worst dental experience in my 48 years of life.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. From the moment I found Dr. Q and her team till my full veneer procedure was complete, the entire staff has been nothing short of amazing. The entire time I felt like I had been a patient there for years, which made me extremely comfortable.... and that was just the experience... now, the quality of work and veneers is fantastic. Although the process is a bit long, YOU WILL NOT REGRET THE INVESTMENT. Thank you Dr. Q and team, for the great experience and perfect smile. You've gained a patient for life.
