They seemed more interested in what insurance I have, then what my issues were. The doctor was matter of factly and direct

I thought I wouldn't write this review because what is the point to write it? Nothing will change. I think to write something like this is just a waste of time. After that, I realized that my review might help others. I visited 3 times. 1st time, Dr Krishnan's assistant took my x-ray and nothing else. 2nd time she did half of my teeth for deep cleaning. While Dr. doing my teeth cleaning, what exactly she did, I'd like to put it here for other patients to pay attention to. She was treating me as if I was illiterate. That I don't have money nor an education. I got severe physical pain that I never had in my life for cleaning my teeth. I know vey well what should pain should occur since I did it several times. She kept saying to not make my equipment dirty. There was no assistance to help the doctor. She treated me like I came from different country and I cannot say whatever because she thinks she can treat people like us. She has a bad attitude and responded to some review saying that she "doesn't have this kind of patient record. But I have all the proof and bills if anybody wants to see. 3rd time, she did the rest of my teeth for deep cleaning and while she was cleaning my teeth, she told me to swallow the dirty stuff when it comes up during cleaning. She said that because she didn't want it to spill over her equipment. Obviously, I'd spit it out in a sink or something, but does she seriously have to think that lowly of me? Does she even do this with other patients? They filed a $756 (including 3 visit) fee for consultation and service fee. I called insurance and asked them why I have to pay $252 dollar from my pocket. Insurance explained me we don't pay for taking X-Ray. The receptionist told me that my insurance does not cover the initial visit where I only had my x-ray and nothing else. Now, I have to pay $252. I've had appointments, heading to the doctor and I was a little late but then I got a call from the doctor's office. They said my appointment was cancelled, and that I have to do it after one month. On the second time, they cancelled my appointment a 2nd time without any prior notification. I wanted to get gum implants done by the referral by a friend. He recommended me to see this Periodontist in Rego Park but to be honest with you, based on my terrible experience and all the reviews I read on here, I skipped her. I gave up trying to visit anymore and won't recommend them to anybody. Still, I could not forget her. How much she humiliated me that I can not take this situation out of mind. Not she humiliated me, she also hurt deeply psychologically .

This doc is a scam. I went in for a consultation. She explained that everything (including all after care visits) was included in her $7,000 price. So I went ahead and did the surgery. Then she changes her story and tells me oh this isn't included, that isn't included, that's a separate payment. The $7,000 was only for the surgery nothing else. She's money hungry. Gives you all this false information and then later tells you she didn't say that. She just wants your money. Please do not waste your time and hard earn money on this woman. She tips people off. What a waste. Trust me. DO NOT GO TO HER.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the promptness and professional care I received from Dr. Michael E. Plaut. My experience at this facility was great. The staff was very friendly and professional. The billing department Ms. Rosa processed paperwork promptly and almost no out-of-pocket pay, great job thanks again. Dr. Plaut performed bone grafting gum surgery for three consecutive teeth and I felt very well during the entire process with almost no down time. I was able to return to work two days after. Thank you so much for providing such wonderful service! Dr. Plaut and staff were very friendly and provided me with an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend this office.

Dr. Prabha Krishnan has cared for my periodontal needs for almost a decade. Dr. Krishnan has performed two bone implants on me, one six years ago and the other recently. I am extremely satisfied with the results of both procedures and particularly impressed with Dr. Krishnan skill in administering almost painless injections and in ensuring, throughout the procedures, that my pain and discomfort were kept at the bare minimum. I joked with her that her injections felt like the touch of a butterfly and not that of a needle. With this said, I most strongly recommend Dr. Krishnan. My one great regret is that I had not started seeing her sooner, if I had, her excellent advice and dental care would saved me from having more extensive and expensive dental work done later on.

I did not feel cared for. It was expensive and I often did not understand why I was being scheduled or what I was being charged. I do not recommend going here.

Dr Krishnan is masterclass. She is a top notch professional with an uncommon assortment of courtesy, patience, attentiveness and genuine caring for her patients. She runs a neat practice with a quality team of associates, some of whom have been with her for a long time. Her care giving and constant eliciting of patient comfort levels while performing procedures is fantastic. Trust me, I have been a patient since 2006 . I recently went back for treatment after an interregnum and realized with nostalgia what I had missed being away!
