Dr Piela put in a filling which was a painful long terrible experience. Shredded bleeding comes in which yanked my face around to put the filling in over the course of this miserable experience. As I went to pay somehow the charge went up by a significant amount , receptionist was essentially IDK, which made it clear the practice is shady. Even more shady is the fact the filling fell out 19 months later. I called to discuss a mutually agreed upon refund numerous times but received 1 voicemail too far into this process that she would I believe replace it. I went to my far superior dentist and it was fixed no problem and his work is excellent. I never had a filling fall out before and I have many fillings. Not sure why she doesn't return my multiple phones calls, because a professional with ethics needs to realize her work on me is highly flawed and should just refund the acceptable cost of the filling. I can't wait to have this filling replaced on her schedule nor will I ever let her near me again, ridiculous to think I'd let her mangle my mouth again. What makes it much worse is her combative secretary. I call and she is extremely argumentative. If she's the same person as took my payment then her memory and paperwork are either flawed or she's lying. This is because I told her I was given one price and charged another but she just won't accept that fact. She debates, argues, antagonizes. I mean she's just a really difficult person. Paying $395 part of which was magically increased at time of payment for terrible painful work is bad but the filling falling out and having to quickly have it replaced and put on the defensive with her office is truly a problem. I've been sick and her office knows that, I explained it but her secretary just beats you down. I left a voicemail that I'm filing a complaint with the Dept. Of health. I don't want to bother with any of this. But there are ethics a professional should follow and a patient should not have to suffer through a procedure, pay extra without any notice, the procedure fails then be forced to call and call and then deal with her combative secretary.

Dr. Elizabeth Piela is a terrific dentist whose understanding of alternative therapies is limitless. She is the kind of medical practitioner who abides by the 'do no harm' rule and will only help your life improve with her extensive knowledge and kind manner. Her office is spotless. Five stars!
