Gianrico Farrugia, M.D., president and chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic, leads the No. 1 ranked hospital by U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek. With a 73,000-person workforce, Mayo Clinic cares for more than 1.3 million people each year with serious or complex illnesses from all 50 U.S. states and 130 countries.
Mayo Clinic doesn't have a public directory of staff phone numbers or email addresses. To contact someone, call the general telephone number at a Mayo Clinic location, and the operator will connect you.
The answer is yes for 1.3 million patients from nearly 130 countries every year. The reason is simple: Compassion is at the heart of our care. At Mayo Clinic, unhurried, comprehensive evaluations offer the best chance of healing and getting back to your life.
Effective treatment depends on getting the right diagnosis as soon as possible. Our specialists collaborate across disciplines to listen to your story, evaluate your condition from every angle, and develop a diagnosis and treatment plan that's just for you.

Dr. Pirgousis was extremely kind, compassionate and reassuring. I can't thank him enough. The nurse practitioner I saw at my follow up was very nice and more than qualified to see me at that stage after surgery. I was reassured to contact them with any concerns. I also received a call from a nurse several weeks later to check on me and remind me they are there if I needed anything at all. Thanks again to Dr. Pirgousis and his staff.
