Dr. Madden, a native of Washington state, graduated from the University of Puget Sound withBachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology and a certificate in Medical Technology. He graduated from the University of Washington Dental School in 1982 with several academic honors. In 1983 hecompleted advanced clinical training in the Hospital Dental Residency Program at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals. Hebegan his dental practice in Anacortes, WA in 1987 and went on to complete his postdoctoral degree in Public Health in 1988 .

Dr. Madden taught at Lake Washington Vocational Technical School for several years and continues to teach at the University of Washington Dental School. He currently is a member of four different study clubs (advanced learning groups) and regularly devotes100-150 hours per year attending postgraduate courses from the finest clinicians in dentistry.
