Dr. Balega is a 1983 graduate of Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He was licensed to practice in Georgia that same year. At the time that he originally moved south he simultaneously opened offices in Newnan and Carrollton but sold his practice in Newnan because he discovered he preferred practicing in Carrollton. He was attracted to the community because of our wonderful school system and the presence of the University of West Georgia.
In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Balega has served his community as a member of the City Council since 2003 having been active in civic affairs since the 1990s. He is also an active outdoorsman and he and his wife Candace have three beautiful young children.
Our Team Our office has a strong, committed team to support Dr. Balega and serve our patients. We handle all back office operations in addition to providing clinical services. Most of us have been with the practice for more than 10 years and you will find that once you have seen a specific hygienist you will continue to see the same person each time you come in. We believe that this continuity provides you with the best dental care possible.

Dr Balega has been my family's dentist/orthodontist since 1999. Both my children loved Dr. Balega. Now my grandson is a client. My grandson just told me he loves visiting Dr Balega. Great service. He is gentle and friendly. He's a great dentist. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist or orthodontist.

As always, I would not consider going anywhere else. We live about 60 miles away. Regardless, my trust in Dr. Balega and his great staff makes any travel time a moot question.

My husband and sons have been patients of Dr. Balega's. I am self-pay but when Steve called them because I have a tooth that broke off they were awesome. They quickly got me an appointment that day. Thanks to the friendly and gracious staff and Dr. Balega himself!

We have been patients of Dr. Balega for two years, he and his dental hygienists have always provided excellent care. I would have recommended the practice to anyone. Yesterday however, we arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment, signed in outside and then waited in our car to be called - per their COVID procedures. 30 minutes later I called to get a status, as no one had contacted us - I was told it would be 20 minutes. We waited another 30 minutes, and when no one contacted us, went inside the office to find out what was going on. The office manager did not apologize, simply stated that they were way behind and we could wait or cancel. When asked how long the wait would be, she did not know. The discussion become confrontational when we stated that was not acceptable and that we had taken time off of work for our appointment, and deserved better information. The manager then stated we could wait or perhaps we should find another dentist. She then went back into the office to find out how long the wait would be, per our insistence, and when she returned, stated they would be willing to see us in 10 minutes, but we would need to find another dentist after that. Not wanting to be provided care in this environment, we left. All we desired was to be notified when our appointment was significantly delayed, as they have their lobby closed and patients are asked to wait outside. When we went into the office, a sincere apology and reliable information on how long we needed to wait would have diffused this situation. The office manager is unprofessional and if she is not able to handle the stress of being short staffed - perhaps she should be the one to find another dentist. Remarkably, about a year ago we were contacted by the office early, to let us know our appointment would be delayed, and they offered to reschedule. The reason was a house fire at one of their staff's home. During our conversation yesterday, the manager told us there had been a house fire at one of the staff's homes - and that was the reason they were behind. Coincidence, I guess... If you can deal with the office mismanagement, Dr. Balega and his technical staff will give you excellent care.

I used to see Dr. Balega when I was a kiddo for regular cleanings and for braces. Now as an adult my husband and 7 year old go too. His office has always done quality work. We especially love Lauren at his office who is very sweet and patient with our child.
