Made an appointment after losing a filling in a gummy bear, then crunching down on the filling. I was first asked to come in an hour early, which I obliged. Then after taking another hour of my PTO, got a call from reception and told me to only come in half an hour earlier. Ended up being seen 10 minutes after my originally scheduled appointment time. Bedside manner is very curt and almost antagonistic. He was probing to see where my lost filling was and when I experienced pain I was shouted at to open wide. It was an authoritative and dismissive tone all around. He told me my filling wasn't lost, "maybe chipped". Okay. Well it hurts like hell to drink cold liquids, and I felt the dental probe down to what felt like my jaw. Clearly something is not right here my dude. He did nothing to address the filling issue and told me to make an appointment for a cleaning. Okay, lemme hurry up and NOT do that.

Don't have anybody who can answer the phone. Whoever answer don't know nothing, don't know how to refer you to others or she doesn't know the address of places they refer you. They said they going to called you back and they don't. They not good at all!!!! Except the hygiene lady.

I've been twice, both excellent experiences. Dr. Hanna himself called to confirm my appointment. He has front-end staff but enjoys forming a rapport with his patients. Staff is friendly and helpful as well.

This place - and Dr Hanna- have no professional ethic. I called and scheduled an appointment almost two weeks in advance. It was a detailed/thorough phone call where I explained the urgent need for an appointment (infected tooth/urgent extraction & a cavity) to the hygienist. It was scheduled and confirmed twice after this call. I even explained my frustration due to the fact a lot of dentists in the area aren't taking new patients due to covid, and others canceled my previous appointments due to lack of personal and being overbooked. With all these said, I received a call while I was about to be dropped off at the Dr office """2 minutes prior to my so waited & needed appointment""" I was confused. Why are they're calling now? The front desk person tells me that the Dr can't see me since """he is a new Doctor for my insurance and he doesn't know how go handle it """??? What does this suppose to mean? Since I was outside already and could not believe a professional would attempt to say such thing, I went in and asked to talk to Dr Hanna in person. He came in right away with this mighty attitude. He even seemed bothered. I explained the situation, the fact my insurance suggested him and I called twice to confirm the appointment. He said, yet once again, that ""he just joined my insurance and he didn't know how this would work out?? To wait a month or two"""? He's telling a patient with pus in her mouth to seriously wait a month or two until he "feels comfortable" with the insurance he just became part of a few weeks back ..? And if this is the case, why wouldn't he call me wayyyy ahead of time. That way I could a) spare the trip that I paid out of pocket since I'm unable to drive due to a foot sprain b) I could have stayed out of state as planned due to a family emergency c) could have been booked an app with a better professional d) would spare me the bad taste this situation gave me. He was very rude when I mentioned the lack of professionalism he has. Utterly rude and uncalled for. E) the fact I had to wait 1 hour outside with 30 degrees weather since I had to wait for my ride... I froze. Never going back. DO NOT recommend this dentist!!!

Just wants money. Doesn't care about his patients. Years ago he made me suffer through an agonizing extraction and wouldn't give me more Novocain when I indicated I could feel it. He had tried to convince me to get a root canal and convinced my mother to lend me the money. I didn't want the debt so I chose extraction. When I was crying and gripping the chair, this sadist had the nerve to say "You're the one who wanted the extraction, not me." I stopped going to him after that. My last dentist retired and I went to a practice that is new (Columbia Dental) to me and he was filling in there once a week. When I saw it was him I was so terrified but I was in pain and needed it taken care of. Another dentist from the same practice had told me a tooth needed to come out and couldn't be saved without root canal, which I can't afford. Hanna said no problem, he can fill it. 4 months later, I am in agonizing pain and it has to come out. He violates his oath and just goes after money. Buyer beware.

Went to dr Hanna for over 20 years best dentist in CT. He is honest, skilled and friendly. He will never lie to you or scam you like other denstists do. He will stand by his work and he genuinely cares about his patients and loves his work. You can tell he is humble and has a real passion for the work. No fancy sports car, no fancy office. Just a skilled hard working desntist who is trying to keep the lights on. The best dental work I have ever had has been done by him, never had any pain, never had a dental emergency when I went to him. He took care of me for over 20 years, my mistake was going to another dentist with fancy tech that promised me zero copay so I gave her a shot but never again she ruined my mouth. Dr Hanna is the best never going to change dentists again.
