After graduating from Boston Latin he received his bachelor and masters degrees at University of Mass, Boston. Hewent on to get his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Temple Dental School in Philadelphia in 1974, before serving as a Captain in The Air Force.
After returning home, he practiced for 10 years in his East Boston practice. In 1987 he purchased his Lexington practice from retiring dentist, Dr. Robert Crooke on Muzzey Street. A few years later, he outgrew the Muzzey Street office and moved to the current location on Bedford Street.
Dr. Lisa Elder graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1993 where she completed a Prosthodontics Clerkship and was a member of Gamma Pi Delta Honorary Society. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Muhlenberg College.
Dr. Elder enjoys practicing Cosmetic Dentistry and has attended LVI for Advanced Prosthodontics training. She is also trained in BOTOX and Dermal Fillers and Laser-Assisted Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Been going to Dr. DiMattia for about 15 years now. Excellent dentist and ensures his patients comfort during any cavities/drilling. Michelle is an excellent hygienist; she is also very good a minimizing pain during cleaning. She also does a thorough job. Definitely recommend Dr. DiMattia's office!

Dr Elder is an artist when it comes to crowns. The temp that she made fits perfectly and I assume the final will be as good or better. Rose could be a bit more gentle. Overall a fine experience.
