I truly enjoy listening to people and helping them solve problems to better their health. I strive to get to know my patient and establish a rapport before starting work. Learning their concerns is the first step, and that begins with talking with them on a respectful basis. I enjoy discovering an individuals goals, wants, and needs, developing a comprehensive treatment plan for them, and seeing it through to completion.

Everyone should be empowered to understand all of their issues before making treatment decisions that may affect them on many levels: function, medical, aesthetic, financial, social, and psychological. A person must understand the implications of their decisions, and I enjoy watching individuals gain an accurate comprehension of their issues: we move from a doctor-patient relationship to being co-members on a team, striving for the same goal.

Being an oral and maxillofacial surgeon is my life. It is not a job;it is a lifestyle, and as such goes with me everywhere. My work affords me an avenue to try to improve others lives in my own way and, in so doing, to improve my community.

After completing dental school, I was accepted into the oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at the Massachusetts General Hospital:the birthplace of modern surgery training, as well as surgical and dental general anesthesia.

This is an intense six-year program that included graduation from Harvard Medical School in 1993 and completion of two years of general surgery training. This was followed by six months of anesthesia training and craniofacial surgery training at Boston Childrens Hospital and Boston Shriners Hospital for Children.

I completed the program in 1996 and was accepted for further clinical fellowship training at the Institute of Facial and Cosmetic Surgery in Salt Lake City. There, I was trained by aestheticallyminded plastic, facial plastic, facial cosmetic, and laser dermatologic surgeons.

The world and technology are constantly changing, and it is imperative to stay abreast of those developments. At Central Wisconsin Oral and Facial Surgery, we are acutely aware of this and feel our ongoing pursuit of continuing education is a cornerstone of our ability to deliver world-class care with a local touch.

I am a founder and co-leader of the Spear Education, Central Wisconsin Study Club. I also complete a range of continuing medical and dental education courses locally, regionally, and nationally in order to stay current on the latest research and advancements.

While I was in dental school, Celine received her masters degree in clinical psychology from West Chester University and worked at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Then she served asthe director of the Undergraduate Wellness Center at Boston University and completed her Doctorate in developmental and sports psychology at Boston University.

Celine has worked at the University of Utah Wellness Department, and the University of Denveras the sport psychologist for the nationally ranked womens gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, and downhill skiing teams. She also created their masters program in sport psychology. She has been a professor of psychology at Newberry College in Boston, University of Denver, and the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County;and associate professor in health promotion/human wellness at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Celine and I have three children: Nicholas, a freshman at American University in Washington, DC, is majoring in international studies. Shaye is a junior at East High School and hopes to further her studies in New York City. Holley is at Horace Mann Middle School and is waiting for the world to catch up to her! We also have two dogs and a very strange cat.

We enjoy traveling the world, because we believeexploration is the best educator, and have tried to take our family on many trips. Closer to home, my girls are excellent piano players at the Wausau Conservatory of Music, and my son and I enjoy checking out the sights in DC and discussing world politics.

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented surgical team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding experience every time you visit our practice.

In order to ensure you achieve your goals, we start by talking and actively listening. It is critical Dr. Kline and our team understand what you need, as well as your concerns. This allows Dr. Kline to hone a custom treatmentapproach thats appropriate for your clinical and personal needs.

Next, we review the recommended plan in detail:explaining what is involved, what to expect, and why Dr. Kline feels it is the most advantageous solution to your situation. We encourage your questions and will gladly answer all: an informed patient is empowered to take control of their smiles health!

A dental implant is an artificial tooth that acts like a natural one. Its a long-term solution to replace one or more missing teeth. A dental implant replaces the entire tooth, from root to crown, and offers important benefits, like increased stability, durability, and aesthetics.

The root of a dental implant is a small, post-like device made from titanium or titanium zirconium. It is inserted into the jaw bone in place of a missing tooth root, and acts as a support for an artificial tooth crown.

The healing phase lasts between three and 12 weeks, depending on the individual medical situation. During this period, the implant becomes securely attached as the jaw bone grows and bonds with ita process called osseointegration. Once healed, the artificial root acts as a base for an individual crown, multi-tooth bridge, or an entire dental prosthesis.

Dr. Patrick C. Kline, DMD - Oral surgeon in Wausau, WIDr. Patrick C. Kline, DMD - Oral surgeon in Wausau, WI

With conventional crown and bridge treatment, healthy neighboring teeth must be ground down in order to support a bridge. This results in the loss of natural tooth surface. Furthermore, the bridge does not transmit chewing forces to the jaw bone, so bone deterioration may also occur.

Even the best prosthesis will always be a separate part that requires extensive care. By contrast, a dental implant acts as a natural root that merges and integrates with the body to act like a natural tooth.

Implants transmit chewing forces to the jaw bone, helping to maintain your bone and facial structure. This is not the case if teeth are missing, or when a conventional bridge or dentures has been placed. If these forces cease, the bone may slowly recede and the shape of the face may change over time. Dental implants can help prevent this gradual bone deterioration, as they mimic the action of the original root.

Laughing, kissing, singing, and eating like beforeimplants can improve your quality of life. Missing teeth can cause self-consciousness and insecurity, and ill-fitting dentures can cause permanent discomfort. These inconveniences come to a welcome halt with dental implants.

Dr. Patrick C. Kline, DMD - Oral surgeon in Wausau, WI

Dental implant therapy is a well-proven, state-of-the-art medical dental technique. For decades, dental implants have been tested and used worldwide by qualified dentists and surgeons. Today, implants offer the possibility to treat almost every indication for missing teeth. According to results of a survey carried out in Germany, 98% of patients indicated their satisfaction level with their dental implants was good or very good.1

I had my wisdom teeth removed on Monday 7/25/2022 and Kline and his team blew it out the park. I was able to get a hold of the receptionist which I believe is Jenny, she was able to calm me down before the procedure over email as well as provided me with the paperwork to complete before the procedure along with insurance days before the procedure. His team was extremely professional and very easy going and open to any questions. I only felt one poke and that was the IV as I was asleep for the procedure as I hate needles, poking, and crunching. They kept everything out of site until I was asleep then when I woke up it was nothing ever happened, everything was cleaned up and out of site (as I hate seeing medical tools..especially dentistry). Kline did a great job of walking me through what to do and how to go about the procedure afterwards. Dr Kline and his team did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone! Very professional, they deserve six out of five stars!

I was in for a consultation for oral surgery in preparation for dentures. I found the office staff friendly and helpful. Dr. Klein took the time needed to explain what was needed and answered my questions. He has a kind manner and put my mind at ease.

I have been scheduled for months for my initial appt and they cancelled my appt stating that they never heard from me. They claim they never got my voice mail that I left them per their request. All these calls they state that various staff members where calling to get ahold of me never happen as I only have 3 calls in the last 3 weeks from this office. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Dr. Kline himself was very nice, very detailed, and the procedure went well. Very displeased with the rescheduling of the first apt then being told it was pt choice when it wasn't, then continual confusion amongst staff regarding how many and which teeth & last minute surgery changes which was a large cost difference, etc. Office staff/process needs large improvement!

Recently seen at this practice and it was great! They communicated with me numerous times to keep me informed and were very thorough. I've read the reviews and not sure why they're negative, perhaps this was prior to new staffing. Everyone there was super nice and helped make me feel comfortable and eased my stress. Highly recommend this place!

Like a lot of the reviews say, "DO NOT go to this office." There are numerous red flags with this office from scheduling to billing. No one literally picks up the phone after a certain time in the early afternoon, and then to get someone to call you back to answer any questions is near impossible. When we finally went there for the verbal consultation, none of the staff new what was going on. The staff right away did an X-ray prior to having the Dr. consult first and this is the "out of pocket" portion of the upfront billing that they discuss with you on the phone when they do finally call back. However, why have an X-ray if you don't need it? Nowhere will a doctors office just x-ray you without some sort of legitimate diagnosis and without being examined first. While X-ray's and CT's do cover boney anatomy proficiently, that was not the main concern here. How do you read soft tissue on an x-ray, you don't. So that was $$$ money spent for a useless exam that went straight into this office's pockets. Plus why did the office not ask to have medical x-rays sent over from the referring physician's office? Onto billing, what professional Doctors office does not run insurance before coming to an office visit to see what insurance will cover up front? This office does that. If you choose to come here make sure to check with insurance what will and won't be covered yourself before coming. I can't recommend this office based off of so many bad and questionable practices from this office. Do not be afraid to ask your referring doctor to make references else where if they have some sort of handshake "agreement'' set up with this office. Overall, if you aren't flexible with your time or money this office is not for you, look else where.

Consider yourself warned...RUN! I highly recommend you go somewhere else, not because of the surgeon (who was great), but because of the horrible service and lack of communication from the office staff. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed at this office. Several weeks prior to her surgery, I received a call wanting us to verify our insurance (pretty standard stuff). At this time, the office confirmed our portion of the expense. I asked for an estimate of the service be put in writing. The office manager refused and said it was my insurance company's responsibility to do that. I spoke to my insurance company prior to speaking to the office manager to confirm coverage and they said it was the office's responsibility to issue an estimate because each office/surgeon charges differently and they don't have record of all the itemized charges for each surgeon. When I explained that I'm looking for an estimate (not an exact bill), the office manager still insisted that they do not put this information in writing. At this point, she was getting more and more snippy and short with me. I explained that no one, at any point, reviewed the details of the surgery with me; I was completely in the dark and I was just looking for information. She was a bit more empathetic after hearing that and she verbally went through an estimate with me but she still would not put anything in writing. Seems odd for a medical office to refuse such a simple request. It calls into question their credibility and professionalism. The day of the surgery, I went to the office and was asked to pay, in full, my portion of the surgery--over $1900. I asked about a payment plan and was told they don't have one, but they have a third party they go through that offers a payment plan (this is where the woman behind the desk pointed to a bunch of brochures on the counter). She then told me, "...but you would have had to apply for that weeks ago." WHAT?!?! They could have easily mailed me this brochure or mentioned it on one of the calls, but there was never such an offer. Instead they told us we had to pay the $1900 or not get the surgery. Apparently, this office thinks that everyone has immediate access to several hundreds/thousands of dollars right at that very moment. That's absurd! We never had an in-person consultation in this office, received anything in the mail prior to surgery, or got an estimate for services from this office. After the surgery, we received a detailed copy of the services rendered; however, nowhere on the document was the name of the office, the phone number, or the surgeon's name...it was a plain white piece of paper. SUPER unprofessional, and in my opinion, pretty shady. What kind of a medical office doesn't use letterhead, provide an estimate for service in writing, or have a pre-op consult??? As I said earlier, consider yourself warned. But, I highly suggest you turn and RUN!

I wish I could give zero stars. I can't advise strongly enough how much people should go to a different clinic than this one. *I only worked with and had very unpleasant experiences with the office staff. I do not know Dr. Kline but I have heard good things about him - the 'professionalism' of his staff might suggest otherwise* I spoke with the receptionist to give them my insurance information for my upcoming appointment, and because I didn't answer 1 call from 2 days ago due to being at work, they automatically cancelled my long awaited appointment and gave it to someone else. They also lied and told me they called me a total of 3 or 4 times which they did not - they just called that 1 time. They were willing to schedule another appointment out for me but that wouldn't be until April. I cannot express how frustrating it is to have someone working at this place cancel your appointment for you without you yourself consenting to it or even knowing that they cancelled it until days before a long awaited surgery, and then to be told you have to wait another 3 months to be out of pain.

Giving 2 stars only because the work performed was great. Their office "professionals" (and I use that term very loosely, are extremely rude and condescending. My husband cracked a back tooth down to the root and had to have it pulled and an implant put in. Their staff were not forth coming with prices (that seemed to be a moving target based on if they thought they could charge more than the next guy), did not help or offer to call insurance to help us navigate our benefits (implant dentistry is not something one deals with on a regular basis). We had the money to spend (all total it cost us over $6,,000 for one tooth) however when asking if it was possible for payments or financing she got very snippy with us as if we were a charity case. I think its disgusting how Kline's website states that he "loves to listen to people's concerns and help them find solutions". Its obviously all about the money in this office and the smug high school diploma office staff who act like they are the only game in town. Fast forward about a year later, my husband has a dental cleaning with our regular provider who "notices" a concern with the implant on X-ray. Mind you my husband has not been having issues with it (no pain, no nothing, but they're the expert, right??) Refers back to Kline and we make an appointment. Today, my husband takes off work, drives 45 miles to the office, and waits 45 minutes to be seen. Kline walks in and asks, "why are you here?" I see no issues on the Xray sent over." My husband says, "um because we were referred here by our dentist." Obviously Kline never looked over the X-ray in preparation PRIOR to my husband making the appointment or coming in or he would have seen that there was no issue. We were easy money to him. Mind you, they make you pay $91 just to walk in the door so they took his money knowing there was no issue, in addition to the time off of work, and gas to and from. Look elsewhere, there are other providers offering implant dentistry. Szmanda shared a price list for the same services that my husband had to pay to have to see Kline and it was about 50 to 75% less. We didn't know this beforehand but will never return to Kline. He doesn't care about people. He cares about paying for his second and third homes in other states.

Update: after specifically verifying my address my refund was sent to the wrong address. Debating whether it was intentional based on my bad review or gross incompetence. AVOID!! Update: called again, finally spoke with someone who said she called me back yesterday but I have no record of call or a voicemail. Refund to be issued and I should receive it by the end of next week. Reasons for delays: insurance companies Reasons for calls not being returned: Covid Paid $1991 upfront for daughters surgery. After insurance paid on 6/30 my portion was $1134. I have called and left message with reception, no call back from billing. Waited two weeks, called again, had to leave another message and still no call back. After reading other reviews I have a feeling I'm going to have to go to small claims to get my refund. Disgusting business practice!

RUN If I could give zero stars, I would! Spoke to Jessica who claimed to be Office Manager. Was rude and condescending. Since they are booking out until April (4 Months Out), I asked whom may also perform oral surgery in the area. Really needed to get in sooner and was genuinely asking for some professional guidance. Jessica stated that she didn't know anywhere else in all of Wausau and surrounding areas. Told me she wouldn't help and I should just "go google it." When I explained again how I was just looking for other options not a referral, she told me call Marshfield or google it. I asked if I could speak with her manager, Jessica LAUGHED at me and said she was the manager. Maybe this business thinks they can be condescending to people because they have a 4 month wait... Spoke to a friend who said she had same kind of experience. Jessica told her it wasn't part of her job to call insurance company. Jessica made them feel awful and belittled when they had questions. Unfortunately they didn't have a choice and had to deal with her rudeness because there insurance only worked with this office.

I was able to get in fast as there was a cancellation. I had been to another oral surgeon prior to going here and that surgeon wanted to do more X-rays because my wisdom teeth were fully grown that weren't necessary. I contacted Patrick Klines office and they were very helpful, looked over my X-rays and reassured me it would not be a problem. The consult and surgery were both scheduled at the same time which I liked. My recovery went well also, just follow the instructions given!
