Dr. Joe was raised in Long Island. He attended Grace Day School until 8th grade. He went to high school at Chaminade, which set the stage for his journey out of the local area. Dr. Joe attended Duke University, North Carolina, for his undergraduate studies.
After completing college, he came back north to the University of Connecticut for a four-year dental program from which he received his D.M.D. Dr. Joes formal education was completed during his stay at New York University for which he received his specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Joe specializes in treating patients who requireorthognathic surgery, cleft palate intervention, and temporomandibular joint disorders. He is a member of the American Orthodontic Association and serves on the staff of Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. V is a trained, certified, and licensed orthodontist who received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from New York University. After two years of military service as a dentist and a one-year internship, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University to earn his Master of Science (M.S.) in orthodontics. He holds the highest honor in orthodontics, which very few on Long Island have accomplished: He is a Diplomateof the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also an associate professor in the graduate orthodontic program at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. V serves on the staff of Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. His education and experience make him well versed in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontics, orthognathic (face/jaw) reconstruction, and temporomandibular (TMJ-TMD) disorders.

About 20 years ago I was a patient of Dr. Joe. I recently went back to see Dr. Pasquale Vitagliano for Invisalign. Over the course of time my teeth shifted because I did not wear my retainers when I was a teenager! Years later, I was nervous to come back for a consultation because I was hesitant about wearing braces. Dr. Vitagliano and his team assured me that Invisalign would be an appropriate and effective solution. With the technology of Invisalign and the expertise of Dr. Vitagliano, Dr. Leah & their team, my teeth have straightened out and are completely aligned!!! I now have the Memotain Reatiners which comfortably fit on the back of my teeth along with plastic removable retainers for overnight. Please be aware that online companies that advertise clear braces are an absolute scam! You cannot expect your teeth to be corrected through the mail.... you need Dr. Vitagliano. I cannot thank them enough for all of their knowledge, compassion and help along the way. Moral of the story: wear your retainers! Thanks again to the best orthodontics associates!

If you want the best - Vitagliano orthodontics is the place. Dr. Pasquale was my orthodontist when I was 13 and now He and his son Dr. Joe have taken care of both of my children. My boys smiles are fantastic!! My mom and I are also doing Invisalign now with great results! They are THE BEST!!

We came here for a second opinion and thank goodness! We were taken in quickly explained everything to us they have offers of zero financing for braces which is nice... they were friendly honest and kind not quick to rip teeth out I was explained all our options! My husband was unable to attend but the doctor hAd no problem explaining to him everything over the phone! N we are very happy and pleased and Thank full for everything! Very happy to proceed with my sons braces here ! Thank you for a wonderful experience !

Been taking my kids there for 4 years now - staff is great and LOVE Dr. leah she is ALWAYS with a smile and Super sweet to the patients and the parents. I dont think theres been a single time i've left there dissapointed.

The people here are amazing. The personalized care is second to none. Everyone knows your name everyone stops to say hello and makes you feel important . When your committing to a long process it's nice to have such a truly caring professional team to work with. I've had both my children there and their teeth look fantastic. Each person working there goes above to reach a level of excellence that seems to be lost in today's world. Dr. Leah made me feel like she was caring for my children as if they were her own. Michelle at the front desk always willing to help you get the appointment you need, and Jill's smile help my grumpy kids be a little happier when they saw her. Thank you Dr. V and staff!

Had braces before coming here and needed my front teeth fixed because my previous orthodontics saw I had no insurance and was paying money out of my pocket. So he saw me as a money machine. I left them at the recommendation of a family friends daughter who had her teeth done by Vitaglianos. I came to Vitaglianos to get braces and payed them $4000.00 cash for which I have all the receipts and records of. My bottom teeth were perfect when I came to Vitaglianos in west Islip. Now that my braces were taken off and I was given retainers, my bottom teeth are totally crooked and one can even see it in the retainer also, my alignment is off, and my side teeth are pushing behind the front teeth more than before for which I came to them to fix. When I went to senior vitagliano he said it would all be treated free of charge but his son Dr Joe said no she has to get braces again and pay for it. Now I see that treating teeth has become a money making business not a customer care treatment. I got all my records from the practice before they started mistreating me and when I went to Dr Joe and Dr Lea afterwards, they brightened the computer screen and said it looks great from when we took the braces off. Your teeth were perfect. When I showed them paper view of my teeth they were speechless and were Iike you have to get braces again and pay. When someone has no insurance and paid a dr cash of $4000.00, the dr should realize I worked nonstop for two months in a row while going to college. It's not easy to get that pay together. It's a whole semester fee for many people. Even Dr. Vitagliano said your alignment is way off and your teeth are a bit off from top and bottom. When I mentioned to him to fix it. He's like you can't be so picky. I have to be picky because that's what I came for. I paid a large amount out of pocket without insurance covering. It's hard earned money. I didn't have crooked teeth like most people do. I just had a alignment problem and four front teeth issue. It amazes me that when someone pays that amount you should give them the teeth they expected. Not teeth that they couldn't smile on their graduation and their wedding.

What an amazing practice this is. Two of my sons have been the patients. One is wrapping up the treatment and one is just starting. All the doctors and staff are fantastic. Wait time is non- existent. Appointments are easy to make and reschedule. Very friendly, professional and exciting atmosphere. My kids love to come here and the teeth of the older son look absolutely amazing. Don't look for anyone else - the doctors and staff become your family after the initial visit.

Dr. Pasquale was my orthodontist many years ago, and even then coming to the office was a fun experience and happy environment to be around. Now, as an employee of Dr. Pasquale for almost ten years, I can honestly say that this office has always been dedicated to excellence in orthodontics. The staff, then and now, feels like a family atmosphere. I always felt included when I was a patient here, and that is how we all feel about our patients today. Always a treat to see every patient smiling and bubbly to tell us what is new in their lives and how their beautiful smiles are coming along. I highly recommend treatment with Dr. Joe and Pasquale Vitagliano in either Massapequa or West Islip, because it is where you will have such kind-hearted, attentive staff working on your children or yourself, and have amazing results at the end of treatment.
