Dr. Richard Oliver opened this practice in La Palma over 30 years ago. He followed in his fathers footsteps when he decided to become a dentist. He was raised in Southern California and attended the University of Southern California for his undergraduate degree and USC school of dentistry.
Upon returning to the United States, hepracticed dentistry with his father in Los Angeles for a few years before coming to Orange County to start his own practice. More than 30 years later he is still serving this community.
Dr. Oliver has been blessed with many opportunities to provide dentistry to those in need in areas such as South Africa, Swaziland, Mexico and Honduras. He values these experiences because he is able to give back to others in a helpful way. The friendships he has developed through these journeys are invaluable to him.
With a passion for esthetic, restorative and implant dentistry, Dr. Oliver feels that his ability to help his patients regain function andimprove the look of their smilemakes dentistry as rewarding to him as ever.
Dr. Josh sees most of our pediatric patients. This gives him and his team a unique opportunity to help kids develop a positive attitude towards seeing the dentist. He treats all of his patients with kindness and respect. The entire family is invited into the treatment room which allows the child to know that he or she is in a safe, loving, family environment.
Dr. Josh believes that parents are an essential part of the treatment planning and decision process. Through all these things, Dr. Josh is able to create an environment that many kids truly enjoy, making the trip to the dentist something to look forward to instead of dreading.
With an emphasis on prevention Dr. Josh and his team focus on getting kids through their childhood and adolescents with as little dental treatment as possible, setting them up for a life time of excellent dental health and needing less maintenance in the future.
Dr. Jessica Oliver-Castillo grew up in Orange County, She received her bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of San Diego. She attended The University of Southern California School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2005, Dr. Jessica joined our practice. She has two young daughters and loves being a mom.
From the time I was fairly young my father brought me along on some of his dental mission trips to Mexico or Central America. I got to see firsthand the impact a dentist can make in an under served community. Seeing what he was able to do was a huge motivating factor in my decision to become a dentist.'
I am so thankful to have the opportunity to serve my patients. I love what I do. I love the relationships I have with my patients. The opportunity to help them in some small or large way is truly agift to me.'
With anemphasis onpreventative and minimally invasive dentistryDr. Jessica works with her patients to establish optimal oral health which leads to less dentistry needed in the future. With a gentle touch and a love for esthetic and restorative dentistry she enjoys the chance to help a person regain former function or improve their appearance.
Dr. Nathan Oliver grew up in Orange County and knew from age 5 that he wanted to be a dentist, following in his father and grandfathers footsteps. He went to school locally and got his BS in Biology at Cal Poly Pomona and went on to graduate from USC School of Dentistry where he was one of only sixteen students to be part of the Esthetic Select. This opportunity allowed him tohonetheskills needed for excellent esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Nathans passion and skill for all things technical has been a real asset for our office. Whether it is new digital cameras or our CAD/CAM unit he keeps the technological side of the practice running well.
Dr. Nathanwas luckyenough to assist his father for many years while he provided dentistry in areas such as Mexico and Honduras. And more recently has also been blessed to provide care to patients in some of those very same areas.
We have a wonderful staff of eight full and part time dental hygienists.Most have been practicing with us for 10 to 20 years. They are hereto help support your periodontal health. Regular periodic check-upsand professional cleanings help to keep your mouth in the bestshape possible and help to protect your overall health. They also allowus to catch any problems early in their development which canmake them easier to treat. We have dedicated and well qualifiedhygienists who help to maintain and inform you on your healthy smile.
The goal of our dedicated and friendly assistantsis to make your visitas comfortable and relaxed as possible. As patient advocates they help facilitate patient education and understanding so that every patientcan make the best possible treatment decision for their personal needs.
