Dr. Norman D. Jacobskind DDS graduated from Hofstra University in 1976 where he earned a bachelor of arts in biology. Motivated by a desire to apply his passion for science in a clinical setting, he enrolled in the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where his academic achievements earned him entrance to the Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society. After graduation, he completed a yearlong residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY before opening his own private practice in East Rockaway, NY. In 1995, the practice was relocated to Oceanside, where he has since been practicing.
Dr. Jacobskind has built a reputation founded upon respect and professionalism. He aims to fulfill his professional creed- 'patients first'- by applying his clinical expertise towards educating his patients and sharing their visions for treatment. After more than thirty years in practice, he is proud to have earned the trust and friendship of so many patients.
A lifelong resident of Long Island, Dr. Jacobskind currently resides in Oceanside, NY with his wife Esta. They are active members of the local community, and enjoy spending their free time in the company of their children.

. Warm, caring staff. I have been a patient of Dr J for many years and can't think of going anywhere else. He and his staff are knowledgeable, experts who put patients at ease. His hygienist, Angela, is superb.

I had an emergency with my tooth and Dr. Jacobskind's office took me in immediately. He is a wonderful doctor and shows so much caring with the issue I was having. He didn't stop until he found the core of my problem. I couldn't be more happier to have him as my dentist.

Dr. Jacobskind has been my dentist for over twenty years. He and his office staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. As I am a bit obsessed with my teeth and smile, Dr. J gives me specialized attention, as I am certain he does with all of his patients. The work that Dr. J has done on my teeth has been life-changing. I can smile with confidence and I am extremely happy! I must mention the professionalism of Gerilyn, the office manager, and Angela, the senior hygienist. They are proficient at their jobs and make everyone feel comfortable. I love this office!!

I was a new patient today. It took a month to get the appointment. When I made the appointment I provided all my insurance in advance over the phone and was told that I am all set and that I am in the system. Upon arrival I filled out all the paperwork then was told to speak with some lady Jerry in billing at some other location who said she could not process our insurnce unless I provide my spouses SS#, which is insane and was not comfortable doing. I was then told my insurance is not in the system. Total Dysfuncional office. If there was a problem they could have called before arrival and I would have provided the needed information when my wife was available. Don't make somebody wait a month for an appointment then refuse them.

Great as always! I've been going since a little kid and they're always so sweet and wonderful. Dr. J is the best and Angela is truly great at cleaning. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my teeth.
