I did not have surgery yet but what I can say is that dr Tien takes his time to explain patiently . He answers all your questions that you have about a procedure .

I am super pleased with the service I received at DC Surgical Arts! I called a day prior and was able to get an appointment right away. The location was easy to find tons of parking. Their office was so inviting I loved it. Dr. Tien and his staff were so exceptional. I hate dental work but Dr. Tien was so patient and he made me feel super comfortable. My extraction took no time I highly recommend Dr. Tien for dental work. Five stars isn't enough superb job!

Dr. Tien is a nice enough guy but he will try to extract every last nickel from your pocket, and then will ask you to go find some more. His charges are extremely high ($65 for PPE per visit), he will code your for the most expensive option ("surgical," rather than "simple" extraction when the extraction took about 5 seconds and involved no incisions), etc. You'll ask for a pre-estimate from them and you'll have to ask multiple times before you get it. The care is fine enough, but he's sliding one hand into your wallet while the other is extracting your teeth.

The receptionist within minutes of my calling was rude and actually hung up on me after I identified my insurance. She said they didn't accept my insurance, but did not wait to hear the other coverage, nor hear additional questions. IF this is any indication of regard for patients they mist assuredly should be avoided.
