Dr. Nickolas Arvan graduated from Va. Tech in 1982 with a degree in Biology. He then attended VCUMCV and graduated in 1986. Upon graduation he worked for two years as an associate Dentist before opening his own practice in Spotsylvania County in 1988. For the past 31 years Dr. Arvan has been providing quality care to the families of this region.
He is an active member of several dental organizations including the ADA; Academy of General Dentistry; the Richmond dental society; and has served as past President of the Rappahannock Dental Society.
Community service has always been part of his commitment. Dr. Arvan was on the executive planning committee to form the Moss Free Clinic and has continued to serve for the past 25 years. As a mentor to the vocational center, dental assisting students do rotations and receive hands on experience in our office. He is also active in other school activities including Career Day and Childrens Dental Health month.

Dr. Arvan and his staff were friendly, conscientious and efficient. This being my first visit, I was impressed by his thoroughness in the analysis of my teeth, their condition and the extent of the prophylaxis I received. After careful scrutiny of practicing local dentists, I believe my selection of his Family Dental Care practice was a wise one.

Dr. Arvan does an excellent work. My family and I have been his patients for many years now and are very happy. Recently I had a chipped filling I called, they gave me an appointment right away and he took his time and went out of his way to make it perfect. I appreciate all he and his staff do they are very friendly and helpful. I recommend Dr. Arvan to anyone who needs a friendly caring dentist.

Dr Arvan and his staff are very friendly. Dr Arvan gave me several options to replace my bottom front teeth. He does great work. Would highly recommend him for any dental work you may need.

Dr. Arvan's office got me in quickly to repair a crown that had come loose. They also gave me great advice on what to do before I could be seen. As always, a great staff and wonderful work by Dr. Arvan. 5+ stars!!

I'm new to the Fredericksburg area and there are lots of dentists to choose from. I had a very positive experience with Dr. Arvan and the dental assistant. They both were very gentle, listened to me and made me feel at ease. Everyone has a positive attitude. You should definitely looki into this dental practice

I have anxiety surrounding dental work as many people do. Dr. Arvan was wonderful...very friendly, compassionate, and thorough. Mary was my hygienist and she was AMAZING! Today was my first visit, but I am so happy to have found an office with such welcoming and friendly vibes and I won't be nearly as anxious when I go back. Highly recommend.
