Dr. Nhu Q. Tran has been taking care of sugar bugs on kids teeth in San Clemente for over fifteen years. Her number one goal is to provide optimal dental care, in a gentle and caring manner to all her patients. Dr. Tran enjoys treating a wide age range of patients who visit her pediatric dental practice. She has fun tickling the teeth of infants and toddlers who visit her for their first check up and cleaning. She also takes pride and care guiding a fearful child or teenager through a treatment and helping them overcome any dental fears. Dr. Tran and her team strive to provide every child and teen with an enjoyable and educational experience that they look forward to each and every time.
A native of Southern California, Dr. Tran grew up in Long Beach. She went to UC Berkeley for her undergraduate education, then relocated to the Midwest and attended Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio right after. Having graduated among the top of her class, she became a recipient of the Pierre Fauchard Scholarship, and earned a membership into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following dental school, Dr. Tran returned to Southern California to pursue two years of additional post-doctorate training in pediatric dentistry, at the University of Southern California. After receiving her Advanced Pediatric Dental Certificate from USC, Dr. Tran pursued further advancement in her specialty by achieving the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Aside from taking care of her private patients, Dr. Tran has given back to her Trojan roots, by being a part of the USC Advanced Pediatric Dentistry Faculty since 2006. Furthermore, she spent five years as the Pediatric Dental Residency Director at the Childrens Dental Health Clinic at Miller Childrens Hospital, in Long Beach. Dr. Trans involvement in academia enables her to provide the most up-to-date and thorough treatment for her patients. She recently decided to step away from her role as director to spend more time with her family and her private practice. So, whether you see Dr. Tran in the office or on the baseball field rooting on her boys, Ryan and Reid, be sure to say hello! Staff is extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient! They greet everyone with smiles and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs. Dr. Tran was excellent as I had both of my kids with back to back fillings. My son said he couldn't even feel the shot at all! Both of my kids stated that their procedures went smoothly and they were treated with kindness and care! Love Dr. Tran!

I LOVE LOVE Dr. TRAN! I have a special needs son and I have never felt nervous about taking him. She (and her team) seem completely comfortable around him. My typical kids love it here too. They drive me nuts asking when they get to go again!

We started taking our son here when he was 18months old. It was a great experience for all of us! Kids are now 10 and 8, and they still enjoy going to the dentist. Glad it is always a relaxing experience. Dr Tran is very open with us and the needs of our kids teeth.

My 6 year old had an adult molar drilling/ filling done this morning. Dr Nhu and her assistand were amazing with my daughter. She explained what she was going to do in terms that didn't scare or worry my daughter at all which helped her be able to stay calm through the entire thing. Dr. Nhu is so sweet and amazing. Also very informative and preventative.

We have been seeing Dr. Tran and the team for over 10 years. They are true professionals, great with kids, thorough and knowledgeable. My youngest has some initial fear and it was immediately put to rest and they made her comfortable and happy. Highly recommend Dr Tran for all pediatric dentistry needs.

Dr. Tran and her team are incredible! Couldn't dream up a better dental experience for my kids. Compassionate, reassuring, gentle, thoughtful and thorough. My daughter loves going in to get her cleanings and check for "sugar bugs". When she ended up needing a couple of fillings she was made comfortable with laughing gas and a movie on the ceiling. I would not only recommend but would encourage you to send your kids to see Dr. Tran.

I'd give more stars if I could!!!! Dr. Tran and team have some magical talent! -- Dream team. I've never seen my 3 yr old cooperate with any medical professional like how she did with this team! They adapted to the situation seamlessly and executed everything efficiently. Highly recommended - Knowledgeable, practical and efficient -- excellent patient AND parent experience!

Dr. Tran is a phenomenal pediatric dentist. She is kind, caring and meticulous in her work. She puts the children and parents at ease with her compassionate manner. I recommend everyone to Dr Tran! She is the best dentist I have ever had. Only wished she would take adult patients. My three kids love her and are EXCITED to go to the dentist. Her team is kind, caring, and thoughtful. Cannot say enough good things!!
