Dr. Gottfried and his wife Beverly settled in Asheville in 1977. They moved to Asheville from California because they wanted a nice place to raise their family. Dr. Gottfried purchased this home in 1980 and converted it into a dental practice and their home. They had two daughters, Heather and Haley. His oldest daughter Heather lives in Asheville and works as an ER doctor at Pardee Hospital. If you cant find Dr Gottfried at work, you may find him at The Farm building furniture in his woodworking shop or working with his horses. He and Beverly are always super busy managing The Farm and playing with their two prized grandsons Barrett and Tristan.
Dr Gottfried is a member of the ICOI and has taken countless hours of CE expanding his skills with implant surgeries. He has always invested in the latest cutting edge technology in dentistry and taking continuing education classes.
Dr. Mann grew up in this dental office so some may say the apple didnt fall far from the tree. She studied art at Pacific Union College and then decided to switch to dentistry. Dr. Mann graduated from Loma Linda University in 2006. She practiced in Nashville, TN and Carmel By the Sea, CA before moving home to Asheville to practice with her father. She will be the first to tell you she is spoiled rotten and then get teary eyed while telling you she has loved having the opportunity to work with her Dad over all these years. Every day working with him has been a joy! Dr. Mann loves bad puns, eating ice cream, traveling with her sweet little family, running or biking with her West Asheville lady gang, dreaming up off grid cabins and making Spotify playlists that may not be office appropriate. She is known to have a quirky sense of humor and will probably attempt to make you laugh at least once while you are in her chair.
Dr. Jordan Scott grew up in the small, coastal town of Lillian, Alabama. After completing his undergraduate studies at Birmingham-Southern College, he went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received an award in dental research. In 2014, Dr. Scott completed a dental residency at a clinic which specialized in rehabilitating drug and alcohol addicts, where he focused on implant placement and restoration, digital/CAD/CAM dentistry, hard and soft tissue augmentation, and intravenous sedation. He is proud to bring those skills abilities to the practice and enjoys offering them to patients in need. Dr. Scott moved to Asheville with his wife, Mary Catherine, and their dog, Tom Hanks in July of 2015. In December 2017, they welcomed their son, Mac, into the world! Hiking, camping, fishing, playing music, and tackling woodworking projects (some of which drive his wife nuts, like building a teardrop camper from scratch) are just a few of Dr. Scotts many interests and hobbies.
Dr. Cory Kuyk is a native of Greenville, SC. She has always loved the Blue Ridge mountains, escaping the summer heat on weekends with her family to hike and relax at the lake from an early age. She studied Microbiology at Clemson University where she pondered a career as a microbiologist in the craft brewing industry, but ultimately continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry to earn her DMD. Dr. Kuyk is passionate about cosmetic dentistry, biomimetic principles of dentistry, and temoromadibular joint disorder management and has completed continuing education courses in these and other areas. Dr. Kuyk loves cooking and appreciating good food, so she will likely ask what your favorite restaurant is. She also enjoys traveling with her husband Dan, spending time at Lake Summit with family and trail running.
You are only as great as the people you surround yourself with. We are so grateful for the people we have surrounded ourselves with who make coming to work every day a joy! We enjoy our time working together and share a common goal to provide quality care to our patients, make you feel at ease and maybe even get you to laugh once in a while. We take pride in our work and try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

Dr. Scott is a very gentle dentist. If your dentist hurts you - switch! I had a filling replaced on a front tooth with no novocaine (upon my request) on Monday, April 11, 2022. The pain was minimal and within 30 minutes afterwards my mouth was pain free. I realize that this would not have been the case, unless Dr. Sott and his assistant, Misty, had not been very careful and gentle. Thank you very much!

My family has been coming here for around 30yrs. Even when family members lived out of state, they would still make the trip just to come here. They are amazing doctors and are very personable :)

I am and have always been petrified of dentist appointments and recently moved to Asheville. I was beyond nervous to find a new dentist office as I am a creature of habit. I cannot tell you how incredible this office is and the staff is second to none in any medical profession I have encountered. Today, I had a cleaning and am usually so nervous, but immediately I felt at home amongst best friends/family and I did not want to leave. I don't mind going to the dentist at all now after 40 years of real fear. Thank you Dr. Mann and staff- you are adored by me and have a patient for life!

Can't say enough good things about this dental practice. I HATE going to the dentist and Dr. Scott and team have turned my mentality completely around to an experience that I would highly recommend to others who have my same fear. Let them know of your concerns and they will gladly work with you for the best experience possible!

Dr. Scott is hands down the best dentist and possibly one of the best people I've ever met. Besides being excellent at the actual work, he has a natural ability to connect with people in a genuine way and putting people at ease. The whole staff is incredible and welcoming. I no longer dread the dentist since finding Dr. Scott. I cannot say enough good things about him. You go in as a patient but leave feeling like you just made a new friend. If there were 10 stars I'd give him all 10!

best dentist's in town! they care about their patients and are very warm and comfortable in dealing with whatever comes there way! My teethe have seen better days but with Haley and Andy's help they will be back to good soon! The entire staff from reception to the doctors are true gems would not trade any of them for another office! <3 much love

I carry a lot of anxiety toward going to the dentist in general so when I needed some minor oral surgery, I felt like an over inflated balloon ready to bust. I called about 8 different dental offices before getting ahold of Kelly, the office manager for G,M,&S. She was so kind and patient with me and my many questions and even shared some of her personal experiences to help me relax BEFORE I MADE AN APPOINTMENT! My interaction with Kelly was Par for the course. Everyone I spoke to was calming and seemed genuinely interested who I was beyond a set of teeth. My hygienist was incredibly knowledgeable and took her time with me, making sure my concerns were heard and she actually introduced me to her daughter that works at the office as well! I cannot say enough kind things about Dr. Scott. He sat down and talked to me as if I was the only patient he had all day and by the time he was doing tooth work I trusted him like I would trust any friend to do a thorough job for me. Dr. Mann even greeted me in the hallway and welcomed me warmly saying how great Dr. Scott is. My experience with G,M,&S has changed the way I think of dental care in general. I will be back and I highly recommend you give them a chance to brighten your smile.

Admittedly, I have some fear of the dentist. This office and the entire staff put me at ease. And the way they do their work is gentle. They also go the extra mile when it comes to your comfort and well being! Best dentist I've ever had by far!!!
