Dr. Monica A. Neshat, a Northern Virginia native, earned her Bachelor of Science from The George Washington University and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. Dr. Neshat is a high-energy and intensely focused person. Her passion and enthusiasm for dentistry, and her sincere interest in her patients is contagious. She has never been satisfied with the status quo and always strives for excellence. Dr. Neshat feels the truest measure of a doctor's commitment to their patients is the continued education and training far beyond the basics of general dentistry. She is continuously educating herself by taking countless hours of continuing education, lectures, and hands-on courses in the latest dental advances. Dr. Neshat is dedicated to providing outstanding dental care and an exceptional dental experience for her patients.
After researching several postgraduate teaching facilities, Dr. Neshat chose the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) - the epicenter of cutting edge dentistry. She found that LVI teaches the most advanced procedures and techniques including the 'Extreme Makeover' smiles that have become so popular. She has completed several advanced education courses at LVI focusing on state-of-the-art aesthetic, restorative, and TMJ (jaw joint) techniques.
Needless to say, Dr. Neshat loves being a dentist. She is open and honest, and her female touch and appreciation for excellence makes her patients feel instantly at ease. Dr. Joy C. Jang graduated from the University of Manitoba, Canada with a Bachelor of Science in 1996 and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2000. She practiced dentistry in Berkeley, California for over ten years, relocating to Northern Virginia with her husband Tony and four-year old daughter in 2010. All the while, she has participated in thousands of hours of continuing education to stay abreast of the latest techniques and developments in dental science.
Dr. Jang is an expert in gnathology, or the Science of Occlusion, the study of the movements of the jaw in relation to the bite and one of the most complex and difficult subjects in dentistry. To provide better health and greater smiles in her practice, she incorporates many aspects of dentistry, including cosmetics, periodontal treatments, root canal therapies, surgical extractions, dentures, and orthodontics, giving special attention to temporomandibular joint (TMJ), cranial, and airway issues.
Dr. Jang considers dentistry to be more than a profession. She truly enjoys seeing how her work improves the quality of lifefor her patients. Jessica is very compassionate about helping patients achieve their goals while building long lasting relationships. She has been working in dental for 12 years. She is happy to help our patients with everything from billing to answering questions about how to maximize your dental insurance benefits. Jessica has lived in Northern Virginia her whole life and likes grilling and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
Farnaz has been working in dental for 4 years. She is wonderful at finding out your dental insurance benefits and being able to help with any insurance questions you may have. Farnaz enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, working out and being with her dog.
Aubrey has been working in dental for 7 years. Her great energy and cheerful personality are sure to make anyone smile! She is happy to help in whether it is answering any questions you may have, getting our patients scheduled and helping the office to run smoothly. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her adorable little boys and travelling!
Whether on the phone or face to face, Casey is always ready to assist our patients with a smile. Casey has been working in dental since 2015. She enjoys photography, anything outdoors and spending time with her husband and their Doberman.
Bri has been working in dental for 7 years and has been a great addition to our team! Whether it is helping patients with their insurance, billing or other questions at the office, Bri is always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile on her face. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, their children and puppy who always keep her busy!
Martha enjoys making patients smile with her sweet compliments and greatly enjoys working in the fun and positive environment of our practice! When she isn't here assisting our doctors, she enjoys dancing and spending time with her friends.
Tatyana has been a dental assistant since 2000. She is an integral member of our team where her exceptional clinical experience is welcomed. She loves working with our patients to achieve and maintain great oral health. Always friendly, Tatyana can answer your questions and quell any anxiety you may have.
Jessica studied dental hygiene at Northern Virginia Community college. She is a wonderful addition to our team. Her exceptional clinical skills and absolute devotion to patient health and education have made her instrumental to our practice. Jessica enjoys gardening, traveling & volunteering at the animal shelter.
Katiestudied dental hygiene at West Virginia University and graduated in 2010. She is a splendid addition to our team.Katie takes great pride in offering the most advanced treatment and dental care available. Her goal is to educate and inform her patients of their dental needs. Her favorite thing about Reston Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is the great work environment, the friendly staff and that she has the latest equipment available so she is able to perform at her skill level. Katie loves to travel and when not at work you are most likely to find her on the soccer field.
Sharais extremely passionate about her work, and strives to help her patients with not only their oral health, but overall well-being. Her experience with periodontal treatment and holistic practices allows her to excel in preventative dental therapies, while maintaining both a gentle touch and thorough care. Shara grew up in Northern Virginia and enjoys spending free time with her family.
Benaz is the mother of Dr. Monica Neshat. She is an elemental member of our team, always brightening our day. She comes in a few times a week to say hello to our patients and help out at the front desk. Make sure to say hello at your next visit! You may even see her out and about in Reston!

Front desk staff very RUDE. A rip off place, they will charge you without issuing statement, once they sent a ledger that you should be an account to make a sense out of it, asked them politely for a statement, they said they will not issue statement, told me to contact your dental insurance. For dental cleaning they charge $24, without providing the service. AVOID AVOID this practice. You are better off at any other dental office.

Dr. Neshat and her technicians are excellent and I'm pleased with the dental care that I've received so far, however, what has me dreading communicating/visiting with Dr. Neshat's office is one person that is on the front desk. She is the absolute rudest person on the phone and in person. How she was selected to interact with the public is a mystery? She's The worst to the point of hoping that I can complete the dental work I need without her confrontational behavior or I'll have to move on to another practice. She has no respect for your medical and personal information in a public space and doesn't understand boundaries with respect to how to communicate with patients. She presents a mannerism of as if you should be grateful to be in that office and her presence, and she is definitely one to watch with charges for services. She will up charge without prior notice before your scheduled appointment, and then get defensive and confrontational if you question her, as if what she is doing is an honorable business practice. If you need to reschedule your appointment, she wants you to provide an explanation as to why? The audacity of this person is unbelievable.

She claimed my x-rays showed I have ten cavities and had me schedule appointments to fill the first five. I had my x-rays evaluated by other dentists who confirmed I didn't have ANY cavities.

I will only speak about my own experience. - the staff does not really care who you are and will not acknowledge you. You might as well be a robot. That is how they treat you. Here, take this iPad and update your info mr robot. -in my last three visits I have had three different dental hygienists without being told that in advance and the last one was the most painful experience of my dental cleaning -2 years ago my crown broke and dr Neshat told me I needed a root canal. Went to another dentist who did not agree and simply placed another crown. Loved their practice: outstanding customer service, friendly doctor and staff , etc So I decided to switch to that practice. My sense is that Dr Neshat is burnt out like most people in health care, so all of what mentioned above does not matter to her.

The office is state of the art and the staff is well educated and extremely friendly. You will not find a more dedicated, compassionate, gentle and sophisticated dentist and practice in the area!

She did my veneers that turned out beautifully. Regular visits were consistently throuogh, comfortable, and friendly. My veneer experience of my 6 top front teeth was exceptional- I live in New England now and when I am due for another set I will travel to Dr. Neshat to do them.

You can count on fantastic dental care at Reston Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Neshat is wonderful & her staff helpful & knowledgable. She also has the most modern equipment in Northern Virginia. Make her you dental health provider for however long you live in this region.
