Yonkers Community Health Center- Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501c3 comprehensive ambulatory diagnostic and treatment Center, operated by the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center. Located in Southwest Yonkers, the Center was established in 1987 to serve the increasing number of Yonkers residents who were accessing medical services at the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center. The Health Centers mission is to provide quality, primary, comprehensive, and affordable health care to the medically underserved residents of the community.
The Center was first accredited in 1998 by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organization and currently maintains itsJoint Commission status. Medicaid and Medicare insurances are accepted in addition to most private insurances. A sliding fee scale is available for those who are uninsured; however, no one is refused services due to their inability to pay. The Center is staffed with bilingual professional and support staff.
Internal Medicine Family Practice Physicians, providing comprehensive primary medical care. Referrals to specialists are made as needed. The providers have admitting privileges at St. Josephs Medical Center in Yonkers. 24-hour on-call service is available.
OB/GYN Services include complete obstetrical care, as well as gynecological care. Other services include Lamaze Classes, Breastfeeding Classes, and Mammogram screenings. Montefiore New Rochelle Hospitalis the admitting/delivery hospital.
