At Santa Maria & Schneider family dentistry we are committed to providing our patients with exceptional dental care in a modern and relaxing environment. An emphasis is placed on patient education and preventative care as we utilize the latest dental technology and equipment.
Dr. Michael Schneider, DMD was named Top Dentist in Connecticut Magazine. Dr. Schneider received his degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He completed a residency in General Dentistry at the Albany Medical Center. Dr. Schneider is a member of the American Dental Association, and has been the President of the Hartford Dental Society. He is still active in the Hartford Dental Society Outreach Committee where he has been instrumental in planning Give Kids a Smile events. Give Kids a Smile is a program designed to help children from low-income families that cannot afford dental care. Dr. Schneider holds awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the International College of Dentists. He was inducted as a Fellow into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international dentists honor organization focused on dental professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
Dr. Gary Santa Maria received his Bachelors degree and DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT. He has received awards in Oral Surgery and Geriatric Dentistry. Dr. Santa Maria went into private practice and continued his education by attending a one year Implant Maxi Course, affiliated with New York University and Brookdale Medical Center in NY. He is a member of the American Dental Association, New Britain Dental Society, American Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has been named a Top Dentist by Hartford and Connecticut Magazines. Dr. Santa Maria has been donating countless hours to educate elementary school children in Plainville, Farmington, and New Britain about oral health and oral hygiene. Dr. Santa Maria also volunteers annually for the Connecticut Mission of Mercy, a two day clinic providing free dental care to the underserved and uninsured in Connecticut.
Dr. Mitch Cardillo graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Cardillo is an associate for Dr. Santa Maria and Dr. Schneider having known them for many years and is proud to be a member of their team. Dr. Cardillo is a member of the American Dental Association, The Connecticut State Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Cardillo makes it a priority to provide quality care to each and every patient in an effort to improve oral health. Establishing relationships based on trust and mutual understanding of treatment benefits his goal.

I had a great experience with Dr. Cardillo & his staff!!! They were professional & friendly as well as understanding & helpful!! I am very grateful that I was able to see Dr. Carrillo so quickly due to an awful toothache issue & he diagnosed it quickly & put a treatment plan in place to resolve the issue! Recommend highly!!

I was pleasantly surprised when I had my initial visit at Dr Cardillo's office! But I was more blown away by my second visit for a filling! The staff is courteous, efficient and on time! Moreover the facility is clean and pleasing to the eye! Thank you everyone for making my transition from NY to CT a smooth and painless..I mean that literally too!

Dung is the best dental hygienist ever. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional in all aspects. Every time I see her I even learn something new! I would highly recommend her to anyone who truly cares about their dental hygiene!

I had a bad experience at my PREVIOUS dentist and I know choosing the right dentist is difficult. I stopped going altogether for several years. I always knew that I had to see a dentist at some point but I took my time in choosing my next dentist. I researched on the web and ultimately narrowed my search to Larry Erwich because primarily word of mouth:). Who likes going to the dentist? I never did but going to Larry Erwich changed my entire experience. Larry Erwich is always positive, informational and more importantly a VERY GOOD dentist. You can't go wrong. This is my honest opinion. I hope you find it valuable in your search for a good quality dentist.

As always, my visit today was an excellent experience. There was a time when I would never call an appointment for a teeth cleaning an excellent experience...but ever since coming here, that is exactly what I would say. I have been coming here for over 30 years!! Two years ago I moved to where I am now and I do not mind the 45 min. drive one bit! Everyone is upbeat, welcoming, very professional and I do trust I have been getting excellent care all along.

Donna was terrific and I had a pain-free cleaning -- a rare experience for me. Dr. Erwich is my favorite dentist -- he knows his stuff, very personable, and only recommends dental work if necessary. All good!

I have had Dr. Erwich for my dentist for more years than I even thought! He and his staff are always very competent and caring. The office is pleasant and comfortable and I have never had to worry about an appointment, or emergency, as I knew he was up for whatever the task. He is professional, competent and caring. If you are looking for a dentist, look no further, give him a try and you will have found your new dentist, great!

We can't say enough good about Dr. Erwich and his office staff. Our son Matt has some special needs and Denise has been cleaning his teeth for a very long time.
