If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within last 6 months), you can request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, you may also pick them up and bring them with you for your first visit. If it is determined that additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
For your convenience we accept Visa, Mastercard Discover and personal checks. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients there for payment is due at the time of service is rendered. If you have question regarding your account, please contact us at 732-745-9898. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.
We will do everything we can to help you to afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete in office payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.

Dr.Mita Shah graduated from one of the top Universities in the country, New York University in Newyork and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1983.Prior to attending NYU ,she acquired a BDS degree in India in 1981.She has been resident of nj for over 25 years and now is happy to give back to her community life long Healthy smiles.
Dr.Shah's passion in art & science allowed her to pick the field of Dentistry. She has been practicing for over 25 years and has been in private practice at [Somerset Dental P.C.] since 2000.Prior to that she had a private practice in Brooklyn, NY for 15 years. Dr. Shah practices general dentistry and specializes in cosmetic & orthodontic treatments.Dr. Shah has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes in order to ensure that her patient receives the most comprehensive & advanced dental care . Her state-of-the-art dental office has many amenities to provide patients comfortable and gentle dental care.
Dr. Shah has given back to the community in many ways.Her office participited in Give kids a smile & DDS program.She has also participated in many health camps & many community service projects in temples.

The best dentist and the best braces doctor. Dr Shah and her staff Shifa really helped me get good smile. I had huge gaps in my front teeth but Dr Shah helped me fix it using braces inspire of my age. She also had me look pretty on a short notice for my party without tempering my treatment. I am thankful to her for always accommodating my flexible work hours and still accomplishing such great smile for me. Wishing all the very best for this practise

I have been going to Dr. Shah for the last 20 years and she's been reliable, caring, and passionate about my dental health throughout. Most recently, she helped me through a dental implant. I lost one of my front teeth when I was 12 years old, so when I had braces she ensured that I had a full smile by placing a fake tooth. Then, once I got my braces off, she made me a clear flipper/ retainer with a tooth. Once it was time for my implant, she clearly explained the steps and process that I would need to go through and make it a smooth process. She referred me to an oral surgeon that performed the beginning steps of the surgery, however, after ever visit I had with him, whether it was a consultation, appointment, or surgery of the implant, she (1) called him to check in (2) asked for any x-rays or documentation from him (3) took her own x-rays to check (4) had me come in so she could see the progress. She was there through every step even though I was going to an oral surgeon. She also ensured that the best quality materials were used in my implant process, she asked the oral surgeon to change one of the materials so it would be better for me. She helped with insurance claims throughout the process. The insurance was not covering the implant at all at first, but she continuously called the insurance company, wrote multiple appeal letters, and fought for it to be partially covered. I saved thousands of dollars due to her diligence and her time spent helping me with the insurance issues. Then, for the cap of the surgery, I came to her. She took the measurements, I picked out a color, and she sent it to the lab. When I came to get the tooth, she realized the color I had picked was too white for my teeth, so she called the lab and asked if they could do her a favor and allow me to come up. I went to the lab where they perfectly matched the color. I came back to her and she perfectly shaped the cap for me and then permanently attached it. She didn't settle for a color that was slightly off- she wanted to make sure that the implant was perfect. I am so happy with my implant now- after a decade, I am smiling with all my teeth.

We've been going for the past 5 years, she's very nice. My mother didn't have insurance and she still gave us an appointment at a reasonable price, their staff is great as well, it's a great place to go to for dental.

I was a patient of Dr. Mita Shah over 20 years ago. She gave me my beautiful smile (bridgeeork included). When she moved to NJ from NY, I visited other dentists but was not satisfied. After 20 plus years I decided to take the two-hour trip to see Dr. Shah. Nothing has changed. Dr. Shah is still courteous, patient, and professional! Excellent Service by Dr. Mita Shah today. Very detailed oriented, professional, awesome result focused - had to wait for very minimal time as all the paper work was setup already. Also, great precautions set in place for COVID-19 for every individual who walks in. Highly recommend this place to everyone out there searching for dentist during times like this.

Dr. is rude and the place is dirty. Needs to do hygiene I got the clean done with Dr. and she made my gums bleed. And took about 5 mins the whole procedure which I'm not very satisfied. She also made me wait an hour or more to get a simple yearly teeth check and clean. Never going back again

I had a fantastic experience getting two of my Wisdom Teeth removed with Dr. Shah. First of all, given the current COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Shah went above and beyond in taking precaution for my health. Before and after any patient, the whole operating room is sanitized thoroughly and there is a waiting period after a appointment is completed before the next patient can enter the same operating room. Furthermore, patients have the option (and are encouraged) to wait in their cars if they are not comfortable waiting in the waiting room. Moreover, the procedure for getting my Wisdom Teeth removed was painless. I was quite nervous going into the operation, but Dr. Shah was able to complete the operation in a timely manner, making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Truly a clean, safe, and easy experience - a significant achievement during this current pandemic.

Dr. Shah is a great. She makes me feel comfortable and confident I'm in good hands. I've been here for multiple tooth cleaning visits, fill ins for my cavity's, and for a permanent retainer. She's always there to answer all of my questions. There is no wait time for my scheduled appointments.

I am patient of Dr. Shah since last 2 years. She fixed my denture made by another dentist and now l am able to eat. Great dentist I ever met in my 78 years life.She and her staff worked with my insurance Very nice and kind. now I am making new denture after taking out my bed teeth.
