Dr. Parker is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where he received his undergraduate, dental and master's degrees, as well as his specialty certification in orthodontics. He has a passion for learning and believes that education is a lifelong process, which is why he continues to expand and sharpen his skills with the latest cutting-edge orthodontic techniques and technologies through regular continuing education courses and conferences.
An esteemed member of the orthodontic community, Dr. Parker has been published in several orthodontic journals and has participated in research with residents at Case Western Reserve University Department of Orthodontics. He also taught orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University for seven years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthodontics. He is a noted lecturer and his research has been presented at a national meeting and published in a prominent orthodontic journal. He is a Past President of both the Greater Cleveland Dental Society and The Cleveland Society of Orthodontists, and an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic professional organizations, including the:
Dr. Parker enjoys giving back to the community which has given him so much. He often speaks to local elementary schools on a range of oral hygiene topics, and has been a Basic Aid Training safety instructor for the last 17 years. He sponsors many activities in the community, including local sporting teams, school functions, and voice and theater groups. He has been quoted in local newspapers and magazines. And he has recently been elected to his fifth term as a Mayfield Village Councilman.
Dr. Mindy J. Streem is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (Board Certified), a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and The American Dental Association. She is also a member of the Ohio Dental Association and the Greater Cleveland Dental Society.
Mindy grew up in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from The University of Michigan Summa Cum Laude with both a degree in Voice Performance from the School of Music and a degree in Biology from the School of Literature, Sciences and the Arts. Through her vocal training, she specialized in performing classical music and operatic arias in more than 5 different languages. Mindy performed the National Anthem at The University of Michigans commencement ceremony in 2001 on the 50-yard line at Michigans football stadium. For many years, she volunteered to sing at many events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Michigan and Massachusetts branches of the Special Olympics.
Mindy attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), which consisted of two years of training at Harvard Medical School and two years at the dental school. During this time, Mindy served as Vice President of Harvard School of Dental Medicine and as President of the schools chapter of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Mindy earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from HSDM in 2005. After graduating from Harvard, Mindy earned her Master of Science degree and certificate in Orthodontics at The University of Michigan in 2008. After her residency, Mindy worked as a full time orthodontist in Chesapeake, Virginia while her husband completed his residency in periodontics. Since moving to Cleveland, she has been in private practice.
Mindy loves attending continuing education courses about new developments in the orthodontic field. Along with singing and attending musicals, operas and plays, Mindy also loves collecting antique books, traveling and seeing her many loving friends that she has met during her many years of education. Mostly, she loves to spend time with her family and loves to read, exercise and write poetry.
Vickie is a native of Shaker Heights, Ohio and currently resides in Highland Heights. She is a graduate of Beaumont High School and attended Xavier University. She is one of nine children and is the mother of three wonderful sons. Vickie and her husband, Larry, enjoy taking long walks with their two dogs, gardening, reading, and antiquing. She loves the phase, A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear. Vickie has been a Treatment Coordinator since 2005 and joined Dr. Parker and Streem Orthodontics in 2014.
Nikki has been at the front desk of an orthodontist for 26 years. Nikki and her husband have been married for 44 years. They have 2 adult children and 9 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys time with family, gardening and reading.
Since 2013, Rebecca has enjoyed working with the wonderful staff that Drs. Parker and Streem have assembled. Becca recently tied the knot with her amazing husband and cannot wait to take part in everything life has to offer.
Barb has been with Parker & Streem Orthodontics since April, 2014. Barb graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelors degree in Finance. Barb has worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years with 10 years exclusively in Orthodontics as a Financial Coordinator. Barb makes time to meet with each new patient and parent to find a comfortable payment plan tailored to each individual family making orthodontic treatment affordable! Outside the office, Barb lives in Wickliffe with her great-niece, Makenzie, and dog, Amber. Barb and Makenzie enjoy hiking, bicycling, jet skiing, and road trips to visit family and friends.
Karen has been working for Dr. Parker for 24 years as a orthodontics assistant. Karen enjoys meeting people and helping them achieve a beautiful smile. She has three children and one grandchild that had braces with Dr. Parker. Karen hopes other children have the same experience as her family in the future.
Karen started her career in Orthodontics as an assistant in 1970. She married her high school sweetheart. They have two grown daughters and two dogs. Karen enjoys witnessing when a patient gets their braces off, and they are so amazed with a beautiful smile.
