Dr. Mindy was born and raised in Northern Nevada and attended UC Berkeley and Oregon Tech. She went on to earn her dental degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine in 2008 where she received the Delta Dental Scholarship and Prosthodontics Student Award for her graduating class. She then completed an optional year of extended training as a General Practice Resident at the Portland, OR VA Hospital where she valued treating patients from a medically complex population.
After completing her residency, she worked at a pediatric clinic in Corvallis, Oregon before returning to Reno in 2010 to serve the veteran population at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. She has been in private practice for the past few years before deciding to open Dr. Mindys Family Dentistry.
We are a fee-for-service office. We gladly accept most dental insurances and will complimentary bill your insurance provider and give you estimates for out-of-pocket expenses. Our goal is to help you maximize your benefits. We also accept all major credit cards, checks, cash, and we contract with Care Credit.

Dr. Mindy puts her heart and soul into what she does. It's hard to find a good dentist you can trust. Dr. Mindy is by far the best dentist with her caring, gentle nature, she is so knowledgeable and talks to you about dentistry in a way that makes sense. And she has a great sense of humor that won't make you dread going to the dentist!

Dr. Mindy and her team are absolutely amazing, you can really tell that they love their work! They are incredibly kind and do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. They really take an interest in you and your life. Dr. Mindy stays up to date on dental research, is gentle when performing dental work, and is just a very nice person. Dr. Mindy is an incredible dentist, patient and takes time to explain treatment and options. The office staff, assistants, and hygienist are all super nice and great at their jobs. I definitely recommend Dr. Mindy if you need dental care.

I am a person who had a nightmare of a time with dentists as a kid, unfortunately it has carried over into my adulthood. I can honestly say that each time I go, I experience less anxiety. From the second I get there everyone makes me feel like I am genuinely important, not just a number. I am given full explanations, recommendations and options with my treatment plan which leaves me feeling confident with my decisions. Dr. Mindy and her staff are top notch, I highly recommend them!

You walk in and it's very welcoming. The staff is super friendly and Dr. Mindy is very personable and attentive to my needs and concerns. I feel like I'm part of the family when I come here. The two places people hate going is the auto mechanic and the dentist. I feel Dr Mindy is changing that and making it a great experience and somewhere I look forward to going.

Let me start by saying I have been to a lot of dentists in my life (I'm 66 years old). Several months ago I felt like I wasn't getting proper treatment from my dentist at that time, so I decided to start seeing Dr Mindy. My husband had been seeing her and encouraged me to give her a try. He told me how great she was, but to be honest, I was skeptical. I mean, how excited can you get about a dentist? Anyway, now that I've been seeing her for awhile, and have had several procedures done, I understand his enthusiasm. Everyone at that office is wonderful! Never before have I felt this way about a dentist. I actually look forward to going there. The office personnel treat me like family, and Dr Mindy is honestly the best dentist I have ever had. She is creative, thoughtful, gentle, while still being a consummate professional. Her solutions to the problems me and my family have had are nothing short of genius. No other dentists in my lifetime have stepped outside of their boxes to look at new and different remedies like she does. And her assistants are so in tune they work like a single entity. The smooth flow of that office is truly remarkable. I can't say enough about Dr Mindy and her staff. If you need a new dentist, or simply aren't thrilled with your current dentist, give her a try! I am sooooo glad I did!

This ain't no dental chain! Dr. Mindy Fugett is the epitome of everything you could want in a dentist: friendly, caring, professional, thorough, and much much more. She really goes above and beyond. She takes the time to explain things in layman's terms, and perhaps most importantly, she inspires confidence. I've been to a lot of dentists in my life, and Mindy is at the top of my list. My 92 year old mother loves her, my wife loves her, even my dog loves her! She is just plain awesome! Give her a try; you won't be disappointed.

I had been traveling back to CA for my dental appointments but decided it was time to find someone local. I got referred to Dr. Mindy by a patient and decided to give it a shot because I needed to get seen quickly for some issues I was experiencing. I left them a voicemail and they returned my call within 24 hours saying they could take me in the very next day! The office is nice and clean, staff is super friendly, and they got done what needed to be done! I am very happy with my visit and will be continuing to visit them for my dental needs moving forward!
