Dr. Miguel A. Ortiz began working in the dental industry as a dental technician in 2002 after graduating from one of the only two-year ADA accredited programs in California. During the next eight years he both worked and studied full-time in Los Angeles, receiving a B.S. in Biochemistry with Honors from California State University. He was recruited to Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he won the Leo Talkoy Award for excellence in clinical dentistry and his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, (DMD).

While over 95% of dentists decide to end their training there, Dr. Ortiz went on to become a prosthodontist at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a full-time three-year dental specialization where he was educated extensively on everything that has to do with prosthetics involving the mouth. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Ortiz has been specially trained and has mastered the art of cosmetic and esthetic dentistry, smile design, digital dentistry, veneers, all bridge work, crowns, implants, and full mouth rehabilitations. He is also a successful leader in the community for any other team of dentists who may be seeking to provide the best possible treatment to their patients.

After a number of years working with a mentor at a clinic in Brookline, MA, Dr. Miguel A. Ortiz decided that he wanted to create a special dental environment in Wayland, MA at the clinic formerly owned by his good friend Dr. Courtney Lavigne. Colleen Ortiz is the business partner and wife of Dr. Ortiz. Colleen is the Office Manager for Lit Dental Esthetics & Implant Center. She is also the Financial and Organizational Manager for DentLit, a continuing education organization that she runs together with Dr. Ortiz. Colleen has a Bachelors degree in Music Composition from Calstate LA, a MA in Ethnomusicology from Boston University, and a MA in Education from Northeastern University. Colleen's favorite part of the office is the atmosphere. She loves working on all the ways to provide patients with a positive and personalized experience. When she is not at work she enjoys playing piano, reading books, and going on adventures with her 3 young boys.

Alishas favorite part of working in our office is being able to constantly learn and give patients the best care and experience possible. She enjoys helping people and making them feel happy and confident.

Carly is one of our registered dental hygienists. Both of our hygienists have their bachelors degree in hygiene, a rarity in the field. Carly graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, finishing top of her class. She was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha honor society and the Alpha Eta society.

Carlys favorite part of working in our office is the patient interactions. She loves helping patients stay healthy and feel confident in their smiles, as well as forming strong bonds with her patients!

Paige is one of our registered dental hygienists. Paige also has her Bachelors degree enabling her to teach and further her education in the field. Paige graduated from the University of New Haven in 2015 and has been practicing in CT and MA ever since.

Annelise is a dental assistant and has been in the dental field for over 9 years. She is organized, self-motivated, and calm. She loves taking care of patients and everyone around her. Annelise presents treatment plans, trains staff to be their best, and oversees the office operations on a daily basis. Her top priority is to make sure all patients leave our office satisfied and healthy. Her academic achievements help her to improve the practice daily. In her spare time, Annelise loves to travel, fitness, participate in outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
