I had heard of Dr. Jan through a family friend, and was amazed at the diligence of her work. She spent time thoroughly explaining the treatment options with me, along with having an excellent staff to assist. I highly recommend her !
What a great dentist. This was my first visit, but I feel that Dr. Janbakhsh is very kind, knowledgeable, and listens to her patients. I can't wait to get my mouth to a healthy state. I trust the staff's recommendations and look forward to my future visits.

I have been going to Dr. Jan for many years. She is absolutely wonderful, very patient and knowledgeable, and will answer all your questions. I highly recommend her!

Pleasant visit for cleaning and preventative dental exam! Good hygienist and office staff. As always Dr Janbakhsh reviewed my xrays, and noticed an issue that I haven't felt any pain or sensitivity from, yet... Best dental care I've ever had.

When my dentist retired I had to find a new dentist and I am so happy that I found Dr J. Although I have to travel to Gaithersburg from SS, i don't mind because I feel that I am in great hand.I had to get a crown and was so scared because another dentist told me I had to get a root canal. I was able to get a crown with Dr J with no problem at all. Her entire team is great!

Dr. Jan is excellent and the office has one of those rare managers who knows everything (insurance, procedures etc) and is considerate with patients. Good sense oh humor too.

Excellent safety precautions for covid 19. Also Dr. J does excellent crowns with space between teeth so that flossing is easier.

The all-women staff makes the experience feel somewhat motherly to me... which I enjoy, and thus has for the first time ever made me want to make sure I am strict about keeping my semi-annual check ups.

I had an unpleasant procedure yesterday - four amalgams removed and replaced (three of them quite deep) - and felt well cared for and comfortable with Dr. Jan. Fortunately, everything went extremely well - no pain during or even after the procedure. The office even called me this morning (Saturday) to check and make sure I am okay.

Everything was great...as usual. My daughter Alexandra had a great experience yesterday, and I never feel like Dr. Janbakhsh is pushing us into any treatment or procedures that we don't need. I really appreciate that.

I recently changed dentists, switching to Dr. Michelle M. Janbakhsh, and I am very happy. I immediately felt very comfortable at her place. Her staff is excellent as well. Dr. Janbakhsh works by herself so you won't be shuffled between other dentists which can occur with larger practices with more than one dentist. First, they scheduled me for x-ray evaluations and a cleaning. I was very impressed with the fact that she did the cleaning herself, while she evaluated any work to be done to my teeth. After that, I went two more times for her to do what needed to be done. Excellent work!

I love Modern Smile Dental. I met Dr Jan at her practice in DC a few years ago. When I switched jobs, the DC office no longer took my insurance but her MD office did. Since then, I have stuck with her and make the trek out to Germantown, from DC, bc the service and quality is that good. Smart, competent, with great bedside manner, I would highly recommend Dr jan for all your oral care needs.

I am always in good hands here at Modern Smile Dental! Dr. Michelle is a wonderful dentist and deals with all issues very professional while having an open ear for any concerns mentioned and has helped my children and me for many years now. Even when my kids were little they never were scared to visit this office. I therefore can recommend Dr. Michelle to everyone in need of a dedicated and great dentist.

Probably THEE best dentist on the planet. The Excellent staff and friendly environment definitely make for a great visit. I HIGHLY recommend them! If you DON'T like it, you probably have more going on than just dental problems.

I trust the staff's recommendations and look forward to my future visits. *Update! 2021: I have been regularly treated by Dr. Janbakhsh. My teeth and gums are much healthier (I'm also brushing and flossing regularly, like she told me to!). I'm now set to get braces to help keep things aligned and easier to keep clean. My cleaning appointment was rescheduled, since it would have been after the braces appointment. During my visit, it was found that one of my cavities to "watch" now needed to be filled. Dr. Janbakhsh squeezed me into the schedule so that I could have the filling done before the braces were to be put on. The staff is still super friendly and understanding. I don't think I've ever come across a sweeter office staff in my whole life. If you have to get anesthesia, Dr. Janbakhsh is very careful to keep your pain levels non-existent. Her assistants are also dedicated to keeping you as pain-free as possible. I feel cared for whenever I visit. I've moved to West Virginia and will still come to Gaithersburg for this doctor. Dedication and a great staff like this are very hard to find. Don't take it for granted if you do find it.

Dr. Jan is an excellent dentist. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She talked about what is the issue with the back teeth pain that I had. It was very difficult to reach that tooth but she managed to do it, in the most gentle way possible. I was very happy with her work and also with her staff. They were professional and kind and responded to all my questions. They went over the bill and explained it. The invoice was reasonable and even low, compare to previous dentist that I had been. Her office was clean, modern, full of natural light and Calming. I read some of the previous reviews, and I fully disagree with some of them. Overall I am very satisfied with my visit and I recommended her to everyone in my office.
