Dr. Michael Shannon is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (Board Certified) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mike completed his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston part of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. He attended dental school at The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Dr. Mike completed his undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University in Malibu, where he was a member of their 1992 National Championship Men's Volleyball Team. Since completing his pediatric dental training Dr. Mike has worked in private practice, as well as served as a faculty member at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.
Born and raised in Southern California Dr. Mike is excited to be back in Orange County. He currently resides in San Clemente with his wife Samantha and sons Spencer and Owen. Dr. Mike enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and longboarding.
Dr. Mike is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society.

His office is impeccable. The entire staff are very friendly towards our children. Everything is perfection. Dr. Shannon is very kind and gentle with my two daughters who are seven and nine. I highly recommend him and his practice

Dr. Mike and his staff are always so kind with us. They are knowledgeable and explain things in ways my kids can understand. My kids love going to the dentist!!

Dr. Michael Shannon and his office staff were very welcoming and I'm very pleased with our visit. My 4 year old was a little nervous before we went in but she wouldn't stop talking once she was in the chair. My 2 year old was the total opposite and they were very patient with us.

Dr. Shannon is the BEST! He is so good at what he does and he handles my kids flawlessly. He is conservative in his treatment approach and is wonderful at explaining and consulting with parents. I'd highly recommend him!
