Dr. Michael Shannon is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (Board Certified) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mike completed his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston part of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. He attended dental school at The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Dr. Mike completed his undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University in Malibu, where he was a member of their 1992 National Championship Men's Volleyball Team. Since completing his pediatric dental training Dr. Mike has worked in private practice, as well as served as a faculty member at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.
Born and raised in Southern California Dr. Mike is excited to be back in Orange County. He currently resides in San Clemente with his wife Samantha and sons Spencer and Owen. Dr. Mike enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and longboarding.
Dr. Mike is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society.
