Dr. Michael Barnes was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona, graduating from Paradise Valley High School in 1987 and Arizona State University in 1991. Dr. Barnes only applied to one Dental School and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1996. Immediately after graduating he participated to completion a General Practice Residency at Denver General Hospital.
Dr. Barnes is considered old fashioned relative to providing great customer service, scheduling in order to not only seat his patients on time, but to see them on time and being 100% honest about the work you need.
That is the only old fashioned part of him. He otherwise continually educates himself, evaluates new technologies, incorporatating those technologies into his practice that actually improve his patients care. If Dr. Barnes feels a new technology is just bells and whistles in order to charge more for the same or a more inferior product, he wont offer it.
Dr. Barnes office focuses on family dentistry, providing white fillings, teeth cleaning, crowns/bridges and dentures. We are fantastic on the aesthetic front, from rebuilding amazing smiles, and/or straightening them with invisible braces to merely whitening teeth, based on the patients desires.

Dr. Barnes has done two crowns and a filling in the last 3 years for me. I have never had an issue. These were all items that needed to be done. I'm turning 60 this year. I love the fact that he explains what should be done, if necessary, what can be done and always gives options. I never feel pushed one way or the other to do the latest in dentistry, although he is more than capable of any of the latest techniques. I highly recommend Dr. Barnes and his hygienist.

I have really struggled to find a genuinely honest Dentist who is a true HEALTHCARE provider; I have officially found him! Dr. Barnes and his entire staff are truly the nicest folks, and his expertise in dentistry and your over-all health is incredibly thorough and makes me feel so much more comfortable ....I feel really lucky to have found him! I am not a big fan of Dentists, but I don't think many are. I actually enjoy walking into this office. The staff is so happy all the time, they are funny, and personal. Genuine. Trustworthy. I know that my teeth and mouth are in the best hands, I have learned more about my mouth and what to expect during, after, and down the road with whats happening. I have had a few cavities filled, and they did a phenomenal job taking care of my needs, and giving me the time I needed to be numb before starting. No pain afterwards. I will go hear as long as I live in in Arizona.
