Dr. Richards encourages you to bring your most recent x-rays from the dentist so that we can accurately assess the condition of your mouth. Otherwise, well take up-to-date radiographs of your teeth and jaw. Using updated photos of the structures of your mouth allows us to choose what type of orthodontics will work for you, whether you need braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign, retainers, or lingual braces.
Our clear aligner/Invisalign therapy includes taking the x-rays and digital impressions of your teeth to combine them to form a 3D image of your smile. This lets Dr. Richards map out a precise treatment plan to show exactly how your teeth should shift to finally reach your ideal smile. Originally from Pleasant View, Utah, Dr. Richards served a two year mission to Haiti for his church. He then receivedhis Bachelor of Science from Weber State University before moving onto Ohio State University, where he earned his Doctor in Dental Surgery, Master of Science, and his certificate in orthodontics. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and he graduated in the top 10% of his dental class.

Dr. Richards is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO),Utah Association of Orthodontists (UAO), and is serving as the president of the Ogden Academy of Dentistry. He is also board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), a feat that requires the completion of a rigorous, voluntary 3-part exam that demonstrates an orthodontists ability to effectively finish cases to an exceptional standard.
