Dr. Michael Franzman has been treating the periodontal and implant needs of patients in the Quad Cities area since 2007. Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he graduated with honors from Wartburg College in 2000 receiving a BA in Biology. He graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry in2004. He completed a 3 year residency at the University of Iowa in 2007, trainingunder theguidance ofrecognized leaders in periodontics and reconstructive dentistry.In 2007, Dr. Franzman also received the prestigious Balint Orban Award from the American Academy of Periodontology. This award recognizes the top periodontal resident research in basic science. He is the first graduate student from Iowa to win the award. In 2008 he became board certified by the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Franzman is married with three young children. His interests include: singing and songwriting, sports, and community activities. He is a passionate clinician, striving to provide the best possible care for his patients in a caring environment.

The staff of Quad Cities Periodontics includes many people devoted to helping you improve and maintain your dental health. We have two dental hygienists, Paula and Jodi, performing routine periodontal maintenance that is required for keeping gum disease under control. Our dental assistants, Stephenie and Lexi assist the doctor during examinations and treatment. Our front desk team of Jill, Shelley and Kim will help you with scheduling treatment, as well as working with your insurance provider.
