Hello, Im Dr. Mike Longo. I grew up in Monroe CT and attended Springfield College in Massachusetts. From there I attended the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1990. For the next five years I trained at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, Yale New Haven Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital in an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. I worked briefly in Hartford, CT for 2 years and relocated with my wife, Leigh Ann, to Branford CT where I practice in East Haven and New Haven.
I enjoy hobbies, such as, clay sculpture, golf and basketball, and have played, as well as coached rugby with the New Haven club since year 2000. New Haven Oral Surgery, along with New Haven Rugby, have had the pleasure to sponsor both a yearly rugby tournament for high school boys and girls and Drive to Succeed sports program for ages 9-13, with inner city children.
In my practice, we perform many procedures like third molar removal, intravenous sedation, dental implant placement, bone grafts, oral biopsy, oral trauma, and much more. We are current with the latest technology and continuing education to bring the best and most comfortable patient experience. My staff takes pride in patient care, especially removing patients fear of a surgical experience.

At the age of 63 years old, I had a wisdom tooth extracted by doctor Michael longo. The care I received from Dr longo and his staff was was exceptional only to be surpassed by kindness shown to me as a patient.

Dr Longo is THE BEST! He is so kind, caring and gentle. All his staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable. They made us feel comfortable which made our experience a great one.

First off if I could give him ten stars I would. Excellent dentist , him & his staff are top notch professionals. And at the front of the house, Jenn runs that office like a well oiled machine. All my life I've been deathly afraid of the dentist. Dr. Longo & his staff made me feel so at ease & comfortable, I forgot I was even there. I would highly recommend him. Again a big THANK YOU, to the DR and his staff.

Dr Longo is very professional and such a kind person. I got 4 wisdom teeth extracted this morning and he and his team did an amazing job. They really made me feel comfortable and calm through the whole process. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs oral surgery.

excellent oral surgeon! Getting teeth pulled is no fun but Dr. Longo is the best around. office staff is great too. The doctor and staff were polite and kind and would go back again if needed.

Dr.Longo and his staff are fantastic. Due to having a few bad experiences with dentists in the past I was extremely nervous! The assistant talked to me and took my feeling of having a panick attack away! As soon as I met Dr. Longo he also was so nice and has a great bed side manner I was put at ease right away! He extracted a big broken molar and I honestly didn't feel a thing!! His whole staff is so friendly and make you feel comfortable. I would go back there in a heart beat and also recommend anyone looking for an oral surgeon he's the BEST! No need to look any further!! Whoever did the interior decorating did an awesome job!! Thanks again to the staff and Dr. Longo for making me feel so comfortable!! P.S. Dr. Longo even called me later that day to make sure I was doing okay!
