Naturally, you want to know your dentist is well-trained and experienced. Dr. Scherb is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry with a special award presented to him in restorative dentistry. He has practiced dentistry in the Jupiter area since 1989. He is a certified member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and former president of the North Palm Beach County Dental Association.
He has completed all the continuums at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and is currently one of the teaching faculty. Dr. Scherb was granted Pankey Scholar status in 2002, an honor which has been conferred to less than 50 doctors in the world. Other studies include The Concept of Complete Dentistry seminars with Dr. Peter Dawson, Predictable Dentistry seminars with Dr. Bill Strupp, Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education with Dr. Frank Spear, and numerous other courses with the worlds top clinicians. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Scherb has been a resident of Palm Beach County all his life He is married to his lovely wife Dawn and has three children-Clinton, a Sheriff for Palm Beach County and United States Marine, Jade, and Summer. He would like to thank all of them for their inspiration.
Fatima Brecht, CDA, is our dental assistant coordinator. Fatima began her dental career in 1986 as a dental lab technician. Her post-graduate training is extensive, including Palm Beach Community College. She has over sixteen years experience and has been with our office since October 1994. Fatima, with her calming disposition, has the ability to make patients feel confident and comfortable with their dental experience. Kathy L. Jeffries began her dental career in May 1998 here in our office after successful careers in nutrition, music, and the literary side of writing. She felt she needed a new challenge. A chance mutual acquaintance would be the first step in a pilot program created by Dr. Scherb for the in-office lab. From that point on, the program has become more than Dr. Scherb or Mrs. Jeffries had envisioned and continues to grow on a daily basis. Kathys official title is Dental Lab Coordinator and she also manages all the clinical supplies, retail supplies, and maintenance issues in the office, as well as develops assorted pilot programs for the office.
Carrie Persad has lived in Palm Beach County for over 25 years. She started her dental career in 1996 as a dental receptionist. Later she continued her education and went on to chair side assisting. Her passion for dentistry lead her to earning her degree as a dental hygienist in 2004.
Carrie practiced hygiene with a well-known periodontist in the area for 5 years. Deciding she needed a change she joined our practice at the start of 2010. We are excited to have her as a member of our team as she is extremely dedicated to the field of dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, Dental Hygiene Society and has also taught dental assisting at the community college. Carries calming demeanor will make you feel comfortable from the start of your visit as she will assuredly help you maintain a healthy smile.
Gina Michaels joined us in 2018 and we couldnt be more pleased to have her with us. She recently relocated to Florida from Connecticut. We were fortunate enough to have Gina referred to us through one of our patients. She is a Dental Hygienist with over 25 years experience in the dental field. She received both her Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Haven. She also holds a permit to administer local anesthesia. Ginas caring and nurturing personality will undoubtedly make you feel comfortable at your next hygiene visit.

My experience at Dr. Scherb's office, can only be described as Heaven sent!! I have suffered from Dental anxiety my whole life, and when I read a post from someone in a similar situation to mine, who raved about Dr. Scherb, I had to give him a try! Thank God I did!! I cannot express to you how kind and professional Dr. Scherb, and his staff are. They changed my life. I had years of neglect where my teeth were concerned, and Dr. Scherb didn't judge me or make me feel bad about myself, like so many dentists have in the past. He just explained to me all my options, and really wanted to work with me. I believe he really cares about people. it's not just him, it's his entire staff! They really make you feel at home. The work that Dr. Scherb did on my teeth, was nothing less than Outstanding!!! He took on my case, and worked on replacing 8 of my teeth with implants!!! With that said, I'm so glad I chose a dentist like Dr. Scherb. Someone with years of experience and skill. When you do something like this, you need someone like this. So, my advice to anyone out there who has Dental anxiety, and who hasn't been to a dentist in years, is to call Dr. Scherb right away!! I totally recommend him, and you'll feel blessed you did!

I can't say enough about my 1st visit to Dr Scherb's office from the moment I walked in till I walked out. I felt so welcomed but more importantly, Dr Scherb addressed all of my concerns and confirmed what I suspected I was lied to when a dental visit at another office told me I had 4 cavities which I couldn't believe and Dr Scherb confirmed my suspicion. The have a patient for life now !!!

A friend referred me to this practice and I must say it was one of the best referrals I ever received. From the office staff to the dental assistants, to Doctor Scherb's 30 minute plus detailed consultation I walked out knowing I had found my go to local dental practice. Doctor Scherb was clear, kind, and very thorough with his comments and hygiene advice. Thank you Molly & Toni in reception, Fatima & Gina, dental assistants, and of course Dr Scherb for making this such a positive experience. I was fit in the following day for my cleaning and Gina was fun, pleasant and thorough!

Having a dental emergency and my current dentist who unexpectedly retired, I sought out a Pankey Institute trained dentist. I was pleased to find Dr. Michael J. Scherb D.M.D. Dr. Scherb also teaches at the Institute. He immediately saw me and he and his staff were exceptional in their addressing my concerns during my emergency. A well fitting crown later, I feel a high level of comfort and satisfaction in the care I have received. In the two years since, I am more impressed with every visit. His safety protocols implemented during the Covid Pandemic give me a sense of security during my periodic check ups. I heartily endorse Dr. Scherb and his entire staff.

I was always terrified to go to the dentist. I had awful experiences in the past that led me to stay away for the past 10 years! I finally got up the nerve and made an appointment. Dr. Scherb and his staff were very kind and professional. I was obviously embarrassed that I had not been in sooner and they were so understanding and gentle. Carrie did my cleaning, she's awesome and VERY thorough! She even took X-rays before AND after to make sure my teeth were sparkling clean! A healthy mouth affects your whole body health, after my experience at Dr. Scherb's office, I wish I had been in sooner. Couldn't be happier, I would definitely recommend.

I booked a consult visit with Dr. Scherb regarding some cosmetic dental work I needed. He was so thorough, never rushed and took time to answer all my questions. I had previously consulted other dentists, but by the end of our appointment, I knew I had found the right one! He and his staff are kind, patient and always make sure you are comfortable and informed. I would, without a doubt, recommend Dr. Scherb for all your dental needs.
