Dr. McKim left for college with the intention of becoming an engineer. After a year his realized that his love for the biological sciences were in the forefront and he missed that area of learning. It was not long after he changed direction and pursued a career in dentistry. To him restoring a broken or decayed tooth is engineering, you rebuild on a smaller scale! The challenge and attention to detail each time he finds most fulfilling
Dr. McKim became acquainted with the local area when he received his degree in Dental Laboratory Technology from Diablo Valley College. He continued his undergraduate education at University of Nevada Reno and in 1992 he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University. He received numerous awards upon graduation, and is most proud of the Dentist- Dentist award. This honor was bestowed upon him by his classmates as the dentist they would chose for their personal dental treatment.
When away from the office you can find Dr. McKim partaking in numerous sports. Perfecting his golf game or finding a snowy slope for his skis are two of his top favorites. He and his family enjoy traveling each year. Hawaii and Mexico offer them the outdoors, sand, surf and great local flavors. Dr. McKim is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Southern Alameda County Dental Society. He attends continuing education courses nationwide, allowing him to stay current with all the newest dental information and techniques. Dr. McKim strives everyday to stay on time, treat people with kindness, and to have his patients leave with a smile.

Dr McKim is so narrow-minded, doesn't have a broad thinking and covered up his unprofessional staff on their below standard performance. Few years back when I went to have my general regular teeth cleaning, the oral hygienist hurt me a number of times during tooth cleaning. I lodged my complaint to their management and wanted them to get future improvements. Ironically I received a letter from Dr McKim, formally telling me that I was being kicked out from their patient's list. Funny and ridiculous enough ??!!!

There aren't enough stars to say how great Dr McKim and staff are. By far the best dentist I have every had and will continue to see him into the future.

Dr. Mckim and his staff are excellent ! He is our dentist over 25 years while he was a young dentist moved from Midwest to Bay Area, he is not only our dentist also himself and his staff become our friends. Ching and Siu Chang

Dr. McKim is the best. I don't have dental problems at all, but my wife does, and she refused to go to the dentist for years. When she went in, she was so scared, but he and his staff made her feel so comfortable and confident in their ability. While it was still not comfortable, the result of the fillings and other treatments led to less discomfort and pain than she had ever experienced at any other dentist. They are so kind, caring, and professional. I refer everyone to him. We don't live near his office, but we are more than willing to travel just to make sure we get the best care possible.

A tooth cap popped off. They got me in right away and reglued it back on and set up another appointment to measure and get a new one. Fantastic service and great staff.

I've been with Dr. Mckim sense he took over my dentist practice. I'm not sure how long it's been but I know it's been a long time. Almost seems for ever . So that will tell you that I will not be going anywhere else. They are all great there.

I have been to Dr Mckim and his team from the day he started and the team in that office before, "Dr. Juhl". In all the years over 50 that I have seen this team and before they have all be wonderful. Who ever looks forward to going to the dentist! Thank you all for taking care of my family and myself all these years....

Almost 60 years of being a dental patient and Dr McKim and his office have risen to the top in two days of experience. I was not a patient of Dr McKim when I was revered to him for "on-call" help. He responded rapidly and in a very professionally compassionate fashion adjusted my medication to get me through the night. The next day, I was surprised to find that my dentist and his partner were not available, but while his office scrambled to find me emergence care, I reached out to Dr McKim's office. They quickly assured me that, THEY would make sure I was cared for (even though they did not know how or when). With in minutes they returned a call and had me scheduled to see Dr McKim. Dr. McKim's staff worked me up and he completed the diagnosis. A referral to a new specialist happened in minutes. An hour later I had a working diagnosis, antibiotics and on the path to being pain free. They are all super heroes in that office!
