Michael E. Abrams, D.D.S., a certified periodontist, is a leader in the field of periodontics and implantology. An Associate Fellow of the American College of Oral Implantology, he has practiced as a specialized dentist in Brooklyn for over 20 years. His practice, Brooklyn Periodontics and Implantology, located in the Mill Basin Bergen Beach area, is a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in the perfect placement of dental implants.
As one of the inventors of precision, computer-guided implantology, Dr. Abrams has the experience and expertise to remake the foundation of each patients smile. He also collaborates expertly with primary-care dentists to ensure beautiful cosmetic dentistry results.
Dr. Abrams is a published author whose scientific works have been featured in prestigious journals: the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry; Practical Procedures and Esthetic Dentistry, and Implant News and Views, an Internet-based publication.
He lectures extensively around the country at well-known teaching institutions such as the NYU School of Dentistry, University of Tennessee School of Dentistry, the New York Veterans Administration Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital Center, and at world-renowned scientific meetings. He has been a main-podium speaker at the prestigious Academy of Osseointegration, a professional society of implant specialists, where he addressed colleagues from all over the world.
Dr. Abrams holds multiple patents on the computer-guided dental-implant placement technique he pioneered. He and his partner in this invention sold Implant Logic Systems, Ltd., the company they created to market the proprietary technique, to BioHorizons, a major dental-implant products supplier, in 2008.
Dr. Abrams is founder and director of The Brooklyn Dental Forum, an advanced, continuing-education dental symposium that has been widely attended by general dentists, specialists and hygienists from the tri-state area. The BDFs mission is Excellence in Patient Care through continuing education.
A Brooklyn native, Dr. Abrams is a cum laude graduate of Brooklyn College. He received his D.D.S. from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and his Specialty Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistrys Advanced Program in Periodontics.

A Brooklyn native, Dr. Abrams believes that there is almost no situation that can 't be remedied. Providing 'long-lasting results that significantly improve the quality of life for my patients' has been a guiding philosophy for his practice.
He is co-inventor of 'Computer Guided Dental Implants.' This process allows doctors to use computer guided technology to assure optimal implant placement. Proper implant placement enhances aesthetics and reduces implant failure. And it is now widely used throughout the country and abroad.
He has lectured extensively and continues to share his expertise among professionals in prestigious national forums such as the Academy of Osseointegration and in cities such as Boston, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Seattle, New Orleans and many others.
He is founder and director of the Brooklyn Dental Forum study club an advanced continuing education symposium which is widely attended by general dentists, specialists and hygienists in the NY metropolitan area. The BDF 's mission statement is 'Excellence in Patient Care' through continuing education.

Dr. Abrams is amazing! He recently bonded my teeth after a space had developed. It was perfection! I wanted to cry when I looked in the mirror because he did such an amazing job. His staff is super nice and his office is very clean. Dr Abrams is top-notch! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth and gums!

I needed a sinus lift and an implant and was told that it would be very involved. So, I called Dr. Abrams from Florida as he did implants when I lived in New York. One visit, he did the implant - didn't need the sinus lift. Not a minute of discomfort afterwards. Worth the trip to see him. Highly recomended

Dr. Abrams was highly recommended to me by my dentist, whom I completely trust and respect, to perform specialty dentistry procedures including gingivitis treatment and more recently, dental implants, sinus lift and bone replacement. His office is very clean, equipped with modern technology, well run by a friendly staff and appointments run on time. Dr. Abrams followed up after every procedure he performed to make sure I was are doing okay. He genuinely cares about his patients.
