As a native New Yorker, Dr. Mastroianni was born and raised in Northern Westchester County. He attended North Salem Central School District where he excelled both academically and athletically alongside his good friend and now business partner, Dr. Dean Saccomanno. Dr. Mastroianni earned his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Boston College and later proceeded to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) where he received a Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences.

During his time at Boston College and UMDNJ, Dr. Mastroianni not only developed a passion for science, but more specifically for healthcare and dentistry; especially after working alongside several dentists who he considers mentors. His passion continued to mature as he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he witnessed the profound physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing brought forth by a healthy smile. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northport, where he had the honor and privilege of treating the individuals who served our great nation. Dr. Mastroianni returned to Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine to complete his Advanced Education Program in Endodontics, where he trained using the most advanced technology to gather extensive knowledge in surgical and non-surgical Endodontics.

Dr. Mastroianni prides himself on giving back to the local, regional, and national communities as a healthcare provider. He travels across the country participating in Remote Area Medical missions to rural, underserved areas to provide dental care to individuals in need. Patient comfort, patient understanding, and overall patient wellbeing are of utmost importance to Dr. Mastroianni. He values building relationships with his patients beyond the dental chair, getting to know them on a personal level, and making sure their root canal experience is seamless and stress-free.

Outside of the office, Dr. Mastroianni enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart turned wife, Nicole, his friends, and his family. He also enjoys traveling, physical fitness, and sports, while expanding his horizons with golf and playing guitar. Dr. Mastroianni says he was thrilled with the opportunity to join Dr. Cotter and the team because of the environment and culture they strive to promote. As Dr. Mastroianni puts it, The philosophy of the practice is genuine and easy to get behind appreciate, collaborate with, and respect those around you, and the rest will fall into place.

The son of a registered nurse and a local ironworker, Dr. Saccomanno proudly comes from a blue-collar household from which he is the very first dentist in his family. When anyone asks Dr. Saccomanno what drew him into dentistry, his answer always stems from his upbringing and the way in which he was taught the basic value of doing right by people. Dr. Saccomanno always says he saw a need in the healthcare field; that is, a need for more down-to-earth clinicians with the ability to relate to and connect with any patient who walks through the door. As he and his childhood friend, Dr. Mastroianni, like to say, When someone sits in our chair, its someone special. That person may be a mother, father, husband, brother, etcetera. Theres only one way to treat them as family. By keeping this idea at heart, these two friends have been given the rare opportunity to deliver a refreshing style of patient-care, one that strongly emphasizes compassion and respect rather than focused solely on the procedures and protocols of dentistry and endodontics.

In addition to being born and raised in Westchester County, Dr. Saccomanno kept his feet planted in his beloved New York as his education and professional training progressed. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at Iona College in New Rochelle and continued to New York University to complete his pre-doctoral studies. Dr. Saccomanno completed his General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, whereby he returned to New York University to complete his specialty training in the field of Endodontics. Currently and throughout his residency years, Dr. Saccomanno has treated patients throughout Westchester, the Bronx, and Manhattan. He finds great joy in treating the very communities from which he and his family were brought up and looks forward to building genuine relationships within the town of Greenwich and surrounding neighborhoods.

When not practicing, Dr. Saccomanno truly enjoys his out of office routine, which includes daily physical training, evenings out with his partner, Briana, as well as spending quality time with his brother and mother, Thomas and Donna. Dr. Saccomanno, alongside his mother and late father, Tommy, have spent many active years in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). These efforts are dedicated to Dr. Saccomannos older brother, Thomas, with Donna being the co-founder of an international non-profit organization called Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). It is accurate to say that advocating and raising awareness for Duchenne is embedded in Dr. Saccomannos genes as he has had the privilege of learning from his older brother and watching him make great strides over the years. Dr. Saccomanno hopes to translate these ideas of patient advocacy and education to his practice of endodontics.

Dr. Cotter is the Best ! The minute you walk in the office the staff and Dr.Cotter are warm and welcoming. He takes his time explaining what he is doing and how the procedure will work . Also, if you are a sports fan he loves to talk sports !! He has a terrific way of making you feel relaxed and at ease during the procedure . I really don't handle any kind of pain that well , but Dr. Cotter made the root canal painless and really an easy procedure . If you're looking for an Endodontist who truly cares about his patients and the quality of his work, call Dr.Cotter .You will be happy you did. Like I said, Dr.Cotter Is the Best! Adam Gullo

I brought my 11 year old daughter to Dr. Cotter after seeing numerous dentists for a root canal on an adult tooth. He made her feel so comfortable and she had such an incredible experience. He came up with such an innovative treatment plan. I was amazed by the technology and knowledge Dr. Cotter displayed. He educated me through each step, even allowing me to look in the microscope! He made my daughter and I feel so at ease and used his knowledge to make a problem seem like not a problem! He is amazing at what he does! Very thankful to have found such an incredible dentist in our area! Thank you!

Both my wife and I have both been patients of Doctor Cotter. Not only is he a great endodontist but also an extremely caring person. Earlier this year I was in for my final appointment for my second root canal in an 18 month time frame. My wife had passed away 3 weeks prior to my appointment. After getting the novocain I became quite anxious which had never happened to me before. Dr Cotter told me not to worry and that I could come back another time. I felt very bad since I had a 90 minute appointment and it was too late for the office to fill the time slot. He totally understood what I was going though and was very compassionate with my situation and did not push me at all to tough it out and finish. After sitting up for a few minutes to relax and drink some water, I was able to complete the appointment. I would highly recommend Dr Cotter to anyone who is in need of a root canal.

Let's face it, no one wants a root canal. But if you need one, it's best to go to an endodontist that knows what he's doing. I was referred to Dr. Cotter by two different people, and I was not disappointed. His office was immaculate (and nicely decorated), the staff was really nice and most importantly, I was quickly relieved of the excruciating pain I walked in with. An infection had come on suddenly and his staff was able to squeeze me in, as they could tell it was pretty urgent. I'm grateful for the excellent treatment and highly recommend Dr Cotter to anyone in need of an endodontist.

I went to see Dr Cotter for tooth pain. He determined with his excellent exray machine that I had a broken tooth. ( this did not show up on my regular dentist ex ray.) He was very flexible with his schedule to get me out of pain. I was able to see him in Greenwich and also in Mamaroneck. The girls in the office were very nice and professional. I was able to fly on a business trip the next day as he took me out of pain the first day I saw him.

As an individual who has worked with several endodontists over the years, I consider myself a discerning customer of these services. In addition to providing solid work supported by a pleasant staff, Dr. Cotter has an excellent bedside manner which instantly puts you at ease. They have advanced diagnostic equipment which helps to pinpoint problem areas in the canals. Finally, we had to redo one of my treatments which he performed for me with no issue.

Dr. Cotter is AMAZING! He was recommended to me about 13 years when I was in need of a root canal due to chewing on ice. From that very first visit he and his staff instantly made me feel at home and answered all of my questions with sincere kindness. Besides his patience, friendliness, and gentleness as a dentist, his depth of knowledge and understanding in the field of endodontics is astounding. He always stays abreast of the latest technologies and takes the time to explain my several questions and concerns I always have using pictures and models. I am always impressed with how easily he breaks down complicated information in a way that someone who is not in his field can understand. I would strongly recommend Dr. Cotter to anyone in need of a kind, intelligent, and extremely thorough dentist. I know I will continue seeing him for years!

I have known Dr. Michael Cotter since he opened his Endodontic practice in Mamaroneck. As a local Dentist, I was very impressed with his knowledge of Endodontics, his highly advanced technology equiped office, as well as his compassion for his patients. The Endodontic results that my patients experienced was exceptional from not only a clinical result, but the comfortable experiences that were related by my patients. A few years ago I experienced the urgent need for root canal therapy in my own mouth. I had a totally painless series of visits with highly successful results. Dr Cotter is my exclusive goto office for any patients or friends needing Endodontic treatment.

I was treated by Dr. Cotter over a two year period for extensive work and I am thrilled by the end result. Additionally, I have completely lost my fear of being in a dentist's office as Dr. Cotter always put me in a relaxed state of mind. His staff was fabulous and the office was absolutely spotless. I never waited more than 10-15 minutes to be treated . I highly recommend Dr. Cotter and his staff without any reservation.

Dr. Cotter and his staff are the Rolls Royces of this practice area. Precise, conversant, anticipatory and skilled. We all joke about root canals and the overall fear that they instill in many of us. After being with Dr. C. you'll now use the simile "it was as pleasant as a root canal." Seriously, he's that good.
