Welcome to Childrens Landing Pediatric Dentistry! Our friendly pediatric dentists and team are dedicated to helping you care for your childs teeth and smile as they grow. We love welcoming children to our office, and we go the extra mile to maintain a comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and safe. Our goal is to help your child establish a dental home and give them positive experiences when visiting the dentist so that they can avoid dental anxiety and receive the care they need to keep their smile healthy.
Dr. Michael C. Tew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and graduated with his DDS from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, in 2001. His pediatric specialty training was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2003. Dr. Tew is board certified as a pediatric dentist and has been honored throughout his dental training with awards and scholarships for both his clinical and academic excellence.
Dr. Burt grew up in Utah and completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University. He went to dental school at Creighton and received his pediatric training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His family includes his wife, Kim, and six kids. He and his beautiful wife have been married for over 15 years. Their family likes to be outdoors enjoying the mountains and the beautiful seasons in Utah together. He enjoys coaching and watching his boys and daughter play sports. They are active in football, baseball, basketball and soccer. They love to play board games and visit grandparents and cousins. They also love to cook.
Jody has been with our team for over two years as our treatment coordinator and social media marketing manager. She has many years of experience in insurance and billing and coding, as well as a medical and dental background. Jody helps review necessary treatment plans for each childs needs. She is always willing and happy to answer any questions.
Each child is special and unique, and it is so fun to see their individual personalities as they come into our office. It is wonderful to see them grow and change over a period of time as we continue to see them for their dental visits. Jody loves the staff here they are all great friends and work well together as a team to make our office successful.
Family is everything to Jody, and she loves being a mom. Jody has three children and a son-in-law. She is a soccer and cheer mom and loves watching her children play sports. Outside the office, she enjoys staying active and playing sports, as well as crafting and decorating.
Lisa has been with Childrens Landing Pediatric Dentistry since 2006! She has been in the dental field since right before she got married. She has always worked in either orthodontics or pediatrics, so here she gets the best of both worlds. Lisa has always loved being around kids, and she usually ends up laughing a few times each day hearing the things kids say. She loves that she is able to help families get their childrens dental needs met and is so proud to be part of this team.
Lisa has been married to her sweetheart, Brad, for over 35 years. They met just before she started her senior year of high school while cruising State Street. They have raised two amazing children that she loves with all her heart. Since they are now empty nesters, she loves when they are able to get together and have a dinner and a movie night. Lisa has two tenacious Carin Terriers who she loves cuddling with every morning and evening. She loves reading, and most weekends Lisa can be found on her couch (snuggling with her boys, of course) reading.
Tracy joined our team in January 2021, and she enjoys being part of a team that works together to create the best experience possible for our patients and has fun doing it! She verifies insurance plans for our patients so that each person who visits us can receive the care they need.
Aspyn joined our team in September 2020, and she is currently completing her general education requirements at Salt Lake Community College with the goal of becoming a dental hygienist. She loves helping kids feel comfortable at the dentist and seeing them grow and change at every visit. She also enjoys working with such amazing people who make workdays fun!
Bree attended Salt Lake Community College following her graduation from high school, and she has been with Childrens Landing Pediatric Dentistry for seven years. She loves her job and enjoys the variety of treatments she can assist with, especially orthodontics!
Courtney has been with us since 2019. She loves working with children and making sure their dental visits are positive and fun! She is always excited to come to work because she really enjoys the staff and the doctors here in the office.
Kenna graduated from the JATC Dental Assisting program in 2018, and in 2020 completed her associate degree from Salt Lake Community College. She will begin dental hygiene school in 2021. Kenna has been part of our team for just over a year. Kenna likes how close our team is and that almost every day at work is fun. She loves helping kids, connecting with them and educating them about their teeth.
Kiana graduated from the Genesis Dental program in 2017 and joined our dental family in 2018. She loves the close relationships that she has developed with her coworkers, and working with kids every day makes her job so much fun! Kiana enjoys helping kids feel like they can trust her and educating them more about the importance of their dental hygiene and health. She also enjoys the variety of specialties, such as orthodontics, that we offer in addition to regular dental hygiene and pediatric treatments.
In her free time Lina enjoys art, traveling, hiking and volunteering in our ASL community. She has an amazing family and is the oldest of four children, and she has a Goldendoodle that is as spoiled as can be.
