On behalf of our entire dental team, wed like to take a moment to say thank you again for your loyalty and support. We are happy to inform you that the California Department of Public Health has lifted their restrictions and we can reopen our dental practice.
We want to continue to bring you the highest service and convenience you need, even if it may look a little different than it has in the past. We know that many of you are eager to get back to normal operations, and we are too!
It really cant be said enoughyour childrens health, and the health of our employees, are our top priority. And every decision we make is through that lens. We want to be sure the approach we are taking to reopen is thoughtful, and that we are creating a dental environment that is safe for everyone.
We take pride that in our dental office, the application of the strictest, evidenced-based universal infection control measures have always been a top priority for our practice, and we will continue to follow the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control. In our effort to reduce the spread of COVID 19 and increase patient and staff safety, we have implemented some new protocols:
Since we are a small business, many of our loyal patients have asked how they can help support our dental practice. Your thoughtful messages of support for our team are warmly received and have really made a difference in what has been a stressful and difficult time for all of us. We are all in this together. When we opened our dental practice in 2004, the positive word of mouth recommendations that we have received from your families have helped us grow through the years. Our team of dental professionals all have specialty training and many combined years of experience working with children. Take a moment to get to know a little bit about our team and their qualifications.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, California Dental Association, and Tri-County Dental Society.
Dr. Mayes was born in Nicaragua and lived in the Inland Empire from the early 1980s. She and her family have lived in Chino Hills since 1996. She is the happy parent of two young children, Alec and Marianne. As a parent, Dr. Mayes understands the special dental needs of children, and thus decided to open her own dental office. She wants to extend her expertise as a pediatric dental specialist to the children of a community she loves.
Dr. Mayes and her staff practice patient-centered pediatric dentistry solely dedicated to infants, children, and adolescents. The goal is to ensure healthy, happy smiles for a lifetime. The staff takes responsibility for the oral health, comfort and safety of each child and as a result receives continual training on new pediatric dental techniques and materials. We have the latest clinical and sterilization equipment.
Children and parents are treated to a warm, comfortable office filled with the sights and sounds of childhood. Patients are encouraged to express themselves freely, whether joy, fear, or excitement. Parents are invited to join their children in the treatment areas, if desired.

Dr. Mayes and her staff are so good with kids! They are all super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable with the care they are receiving. Their office is really cute, lots of Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter, etc and makes it fun and comfortable for kids. They take good Covid precautions. We love it there and would highly recommend!

Dr. Mayes and her staff are so good with kids! They are all super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable with the care they are receiving. Dr. Mayes and her staff are amazing!! I couldn't be more grateful for such kind and caring staff. They genuinely care for their patients and happily greet my daughter at every visit. My daughter was EXTREMELY shy and timid. She was quiet and that "one kid" you could never hear because she always took two steps back and barried her face in my side everytime someone said Hi. They took the time to work with my daughter over several visits to build a rapport before attempting to do anything. My daughter is excited to go to the dentist! They are consistent to keep the same dental assistant with their little patients and reward them for cleanings, no cavities and send birthday cards every year. The entire office is inviting to the kids with toys, characters and holiday themes. They go the extra mile with scented gloves, "cuddle buddies" (stuffed animals) for the kids to hold when scared and characters cleaning brushes the kids get to choose. Customer service is over the top! I refer all my friends and family here and they love it too. Quality care, quality service and caring staff is not as easy to find as you would think, but I can guarentee you will get that here.

I can not say enough great things about this office!! Both of my grandchildren have been coming here since they were about 1, and I wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else. Between the games, the movies and the at ease appointments, the kids LOVE going to the dentist. Before they are even due for their next appointment, they are asking to go get their "sugar bugs" cleaned off their teeth. Great doctor and great staff, makes for a great office!

Dr. Mayes and her entire staff are beyond outstanding! Excellence is the norm at this dental practice. Dr. Mayes has provided meticulous care for my 10 year old autistic son for over 5 years. She should be listed in the top 10 best for the Whole U.S.A. She is a master of dentistry first, but she and her staff are also masters of dealing with children and their individual levels of fear and anxiety in the dentist chair. They have had many challenges treating my son and sometimes can only get him to cooperate with half of the treatment needed for the day but to see these professionals in action, all working to soothe and eliminate any fear, is amazing! Mayra, Mary, and Alexis have limitless patience and love when dealing with my son-thank you! Cristina and Rebecka at the front desk exceed the highest expectations to meet any needs and are the greatest pleasure to deal with. Dr. Mayes and her staff have become our beloved family members and one of our greatest blessings!

Dr. Melba Mayes, and her whole staff are very attentive to my son! It was very important to us that we find a great pediatric dentist for our son, as a visit to the dentist can be very stressing on kids. We found Dr. Mayes office, and upon entering her office, the environment and the ambiance of the office is so inviting and calm! The waiting area has a tv with children movies always playing, as well as Nintendo ds's the kids can play while waiting their appointment. Let alone the staff and of course Dr. Mayes service is beyond amazing. I recommend this office to everyone! The kids are allowed to watch TV while getting their work done, and my son always loves wearing the cool glasses they let you wear as well.
