Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. We started in 1970 as a community based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need.
We are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. We offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of our governing board is made up of our patients at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients we serve.

Central Virginia Health Services operates with a Board of Directors that is made up of service users and community members that represent each of our communities. The Board meets on the the third Tuesday of the month and is responsiblefor establishing policies and strategic planning for the organization.

Frankie serves as President. He owns and operates a business in Fluvanna County after a 26 year career in the US Coast Guard. He is a lifetime member of Fluvanna Fire and Rescue. He is strongly committed to holding onto to health care in rural Virginia communities.
Byron is Vice-President. He has a MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University. Byron has forty year career in Human Services focused on program planning, implementation, and administration. He has been actively involved in community and served as a board member of the local civic league.
Robert serves as Board Treasurer. He is an Army veteran, has a degree in Business Administration and has held an elected position in local government. Bob has served on numerous boards, commissions, and non-profits, demonstrating a commitment to improving local communities.
Evie has a diverse background in bookkeeping in Hawaii, radio announcer for Armed Forces Radio in Puerto Rico, theater and sales. Volunteers as an interpreter for Louisa County and is active in her church.
Granville served in the military before returning to learn about and then manage the family business. The funeral home has been in the Fisher family for over 100 years and has been led by four generations of Fishers.
Debra has a BS in Microbiology from Virginia State University; M.P.H. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her career with Virginia Cooperative Extension has demonstrated her passion for helping, especially as it relates to promoting healthy eating and physical activity for all populations.
Stephen has served as the Town Manager of Bowling Green since 2006. Prior to that, he was Executive Director of the Rappahannock Area Development Commission (RADCO). Stephen has a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and MS in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.
Carolyn has a BS in Business from Virginia Tech. She started her career in banking before managing a travel agency. She continues to work as needed in accounting and lives in a historic house in Dinwiddie County.
Tamica has an A.A.S. in Information Systems Technology. She has worked as an IT systems analyst for ten years and has always wanted to make a difference by helping people. As part the CVHS Board she can be a voice of the community and advocate for community health centers.
Marguerite retired after a long career as a public school teacher and administrator. She has spent years as working as community volunteer with a variety of health care, civic, and non-profit organizations.

Dr. Bryant is the best. She goes the extra mile for her. Patients. I'm in the process of getting my 4 front teeth extracted I don't want to be without my teeth. But God knows I wish that there was something you could do. So that I can not be without my front teeth.that way you'll be the one taking care of my smile Dr. Bryant you're a blessing
