Dr. Melanie Towe grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated Cum Laude from University of South Carolina. Dr. Towe received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class with honors. After graduation, Dr. Towe spent 3 years at the Medical College of Virginia Advanced Graduate Periodontics program. Her surgical practice focuses on utilizing the most current techniques, cutting edge industry innovations and various CAD-CAM technologies.

Currently, Dr. Towe is a Clinical Associate Professor of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontists and the International Congress of Implantologists. Dr. Towe is a Delegate representing the Maryland State Dental Association. Dr. Towe lectures frequently at State Dental Associations and Study Clubs and has presented research at national meetings.

Dr. Shoff was born and raised in York, PA and has returned to the area to be closer to family. Dr. Shoff completed her bachelors in Biology at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA where she was the valedictorian. Dr. Shoff received her dental degree and Masters from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she entered the Air Force and completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Northern California. Dr. Shoff served her country with the Air Force in Guam for 3 years, then entered the Periodontal residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center and Air Force Post Graduate Dental School. Dr. Shoff graduated top of her class from residency and was selected to teach an AEGD residency in Northern California. Dr. Shoff is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontists, and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Shoff has lectured to local study clubs and presented her research at national meetings. Dr. Shoff continues to serve her country as a member of the Air National Guard.

Dr. Shoff and her husband, Eric, have been married for 14 years. In the past 3 years, they have grown to a family of 5 to include a corgi mix dog named Pliny, their son Samuel, and daughter Annie Joy. They love spending time together and love being outside. After living in Northern California near Napa/Sonoma for 4 years, they have really learned to appreciate great wine of all varietals. When Dr. Shoff is not busy keeping up with her kids, she loves to curl up with a good book. She also enjoys running, yoga, and Pilates. They are looking forward to settling down for good, exploring Frederick county, and getting involved in the community.

Rachel was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. She has specialized training with practice management, billing, patient care and customer service.

In Rachels previous experience, she has worked for both large hospital systems and multi-specialty physician practices for which she for managed over 20 employees. As an Administrator, Rachel was instrumental in the growth and success of business by focusing on patient satisfaction.

Rachel looks forward to working with you. Her goal is to assist the practice in ensuring all patients feel comfortable, confident, and well informed and are pleased with their overall patient experience.

Jessica (Jess) was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She completed her degree in Dental Hygiene at Monroe Community College in 2005. She began her career in Dental Hygiene in NY where she specialized in educating patients on proper oral care and encouraging good habits to promote good oral health.

Jess prides herself in providing excellent dental care as well as creating a stress free environment for her patients. Jess loves being a dental hygienist and gets such satisfaction out of helping her patients feel confident with their smiles.

In her spare time, Jess enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, teaching, and practicing Pilates. Jess is excited to work with her patients at Advanced Implants & Periodontics on achieving the best results with a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Genna was born and raised in New Jersey where she graduated from an accredited dental assisting program. She has over seven years of experience in dentistry and oral surgery. She has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of dental implants.

Genna moved to Maryland with her husband, and together they welcomed their beautiful daughter in 2018. She is excited to be in the Frederick area and to be able to help her patients at Advanced Implants and Periodontics.

Kim was born and raised in Orange County, California. Kim has over 12 years experience in the dental field including oral surgery, endodontics, and general dentistry. Kim received her degree in dental assisting in 2008 from Wharton Community College. In 2009, her and her husband moved to Maryland to be closer to family. Kim has continued to expand her knowledge in the field of dentistry and specifically in the field of surgery. Her biggest joy is helping patients to achieve their goals with their smiles.

In Kims spare time, she enjoys focusing on her physical wellness and the wellness of others. She is an instructor for body pump and body combat. She also enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children, and traveling. Kim is excited to be a part of the Advanced Implants & Periodontics team and looks forward to assist our patients.

Rebecca (Becca) was born and raised in Stroudsburg, PA (Pocono mountains). She moved to Maryland three years ago to be with her fianc. She is the youngest of five children, with all older brothers! Becca has worked in customer service for over 8 years and has a keen interest in the field of dentistry. She enjoys helping people and feels that the dental field is a perfect fit.

Becca is organized and likes making sure the day runs smoothly. She enjoys spending time outside with her dog Simba, yoga, and cooking. Becca will be one of the first faces you see when you come to our office and she is eager to meet and get to know our patients here at Advanced Implants & Periodontics.

Jessica was born and raised in the suburban area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her ASN at Gwynedd-Mercy University and is a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland. She moved to Frederick, Maryland with her husband and two children in 2015. She has over 15 years of experience working in the medical field. She is excited to bring her patient care experience over to the dental field to assist patients in achieving their goal of optimal oral health.

Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, including boating/wake surfing in the summers and attending her childrens many sporting events. Jessica is looking forward to meeting our patients here at Advanced Implants & Periodontics and to provide them with a warm welcoming, comfortable experience.

Jerrica was born and raised in Waldorf, Maryland. She lives in Charles Town, West Virginia with her husband and cats. She previously worked in the medical field for 2 years, but brings 11 years of customer service experience to our office. She is eager to learn and grow in her new position in the dental field!

In her spare time, Jerrica enjoys cooking and reading. She loves the outdoors and enjoys running and hiking. Since moving to West Virginia, she has been able to spend a lot more time with her family. She is excited to meet, get to know and assist our patients here at Advanced Implants and Periodontics.

Melissa was born in Salisbury, MD, was raised all over the United States and now resides in Hagerstown, MD. She has over 13 years of customer service experience and always had a keen interest in dentistry. She plans to bring her skills from past years to the position and aims to learn something new every day. In her spare time, she likes to read, bake and most of all, spend time with family. In particular, her niece, who is her pride and joy. She also hopes to travel more in the near future.

Kelley was born in Texas and raised all over the country due to her dads job. She moved to Maryland in 2004 where she met her husband. Kelley has an extensive background in customer service. She worked in the restaurant business for over 10 years and continued her customer service career at a curriculum company. She is excited to learn and grow in her new position in the dental field!

Kelley and her husband moved to Frederick in 2011 with their dog and 2 cats. In 2020, they welcomed their daughter Harper to the family. In her spare time, Kelley enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Kelley will be one of the first faces you see when you come to our office and she is eager to meet, get to know and assist our patients here at Advanced Implants and Periodontics.

When you find out that you need unexpected periodontal surgery at 26 weeks pregnant during a pandemic, you tend to panic. Dr. Shoff and the staff at Advanced Implants treated me like family from the moment that I walked in the door. They patiently explained all aspects of my procedure and care in detail, answered all questions that I had, and were extremely considerate of how I was feeling and my needs. Their office was clean, bright, and welcoming. They were flexible in scheduling me early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The entire process, from start to finish, was pain free. I would highly recommend this staff and practice!

A surgical procedure was proposed by another physician and I approached Dr. Towe to see if the surgery was necessary. (second opinion). She concluded that other treatments might be considered prior to the proposed surgery. After a comprehensive evaluation, Dr. Towe implemented less invasive treatments which were sufficient to avoid the proposed treatment. She communicated effectively with my primary dental group so that the needed information was there when I visited them. I recommend this group highly.

I've had anxiety about having dental work due to previous bad experiences and was very nervous about having this procedure done. However, Dr. Towe and her staff were AMAZING! They explained everything in great detail and made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way! They made this the least painful dental experience I've ever had! If you're in need of periodontal work, I highly recommend Advanced Implants and Periodontics! :)

Dr. Towe was recommended by my general dentist, who advised that I needed extensive gum grafting. Dr Towe performed the surgery over a period of 1.5 hours; I found her to be very informative, but especially very kind and gentle. The surgery was highly successful; I healed much faster than I ever could have imagined! I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Towe and her entire staff, and highly recommend her practice for periodontal and implant work.
