I am so thankful that I am fortunate enough to practice orthodontics, especially because it gives me the opportunity to change people's lives. Whether patientscome to us to give them the smile they have always wanted, or to allow them to chew their food better, I never get tired of seeing the end result. I enjoy each day working with a fantastic group of women, and my patients and their families make my workday fun and exciting.

Being a mother helps me so much in my practice of orthodontics, because I am reminded that each child is very special and deserves the best. My practice philosophy is most importantly to treat every patient like they were my own children.

After graduating from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, I attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where I graduated first in my class. During my four years of dental school, I received the Deans Award, the Honors Award, the Baldridge Scholarship, the OKU Award, the C. Edmund Kells Scholarship, and the Kraemer Award. At graduation, I receivedthe awards for Excellence in Periodontology, Fixed Prosthodontics, Occlusion, Physiology, and Neuroscience, as well as the Chancellors Award.

I had my orthodontic specialty training at the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and earned my certificate to practice orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Currently I serve as a clinical associateprofessor in the department of orthodontics at the LSU School of Dentistry. I am an active participant in many professional organizations, including serving as the 2019 President of the Louisiana Association of Orthodontists. I am board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics and am also active in the treatment of cleft lip and palate children in the Acadiana area.

I attend many continuing education courses at both the national and regional levels, as well as at the LSU School of Dentistry. This benefits my patients by enabling me to constantlybring state-of-the-art technology to my practice of orthodontics.

My husband Shane and I have been blessed with many things since moving to Acadiana, including living near our families, attending a wonderful church, and having two children. I couldnt have chosen a better place to raise our family and practice orthodontics!

As an orthodontic assistant, I help Dr. Fowler in all aspects of our patients orthodontic treatment. I began working in the orthodontic field when I was in high school and fell in love with my work and my coworkers. My favorite part of my job is getting to know the patients and their family, and especially seeing everyones confident smile when they get their braces off. Dr. Fowler is an awesome orthodontist and a great person. She is very patient and talented and a great teacher. I am so lucky to have trained under her!

My husband Kade and I are proud parents of threelittle girls named Remi, Sullyand Tatum! I enjoy spending time with our family and friends, saltwater fishing, dirt bike and street bike races, and of course, shopping.

As Dr. Fowlers orthodontic assistant, I help her with all aspects of our patients orthodontic treatment. I try to get to know each patient on a personal level so they have trust in us and confidence in the care we provide. I love being able to see the smile on our patients faces the first time they see their beautiful teeth without braces. Dr. Fowler is not only my boss; shes also a good friend that I can go to if I need anything.

My husband Cale and I have a dog named Batty and a cat named Cookie. We enjoy playing softball together. I love spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, and working in the garden.

As our new patient coordinator, I am the first person you will meet at your initial visit with Dr. Fowler. I will help answer questions about scheduling, treatment options and finances. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to work with Dr. Fowler and her incredible team. After more than ten years in administration, Dr. Fowler makes me feel 'at home.' She is a great mentor that I will look up to for years to come. I 'm so excited to meet each and every one of you!!

I am engaged to my wonderful fiance, Noah, and we have two very active boys and sweet little girlthat keep us on our toes at all times! When we are not busy with the boys' sports, we enjoy movie nights, cooking with family and friends, traveling, and my all-time favorite, shopping!

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
