Welcome to Dr. Mead & Dr. Houston Dentistry. Our goal is to provide our patients with superior dental care in a state-of-the-art facility. We know our practice is only as effective as the people we work with. We take pride in our devoted team of friendly and experienced dental professionals. The Mead & Houston team is dedicated to working with patients in a gentle and caring manner.
Dr. Mead graduated with honors from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California, with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. In addition to practicing dentistry full time, Dr. Mead has been a part-time faculty member at both Loma Linda University Dental School and University of Kentucky Dental School, Lexington. He has taught various dental courses including Anatomy and Physiology at Mohave Community College, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Dr. Mead was also one of the first General Dentists licensed to perform conscious sedation in the State of Arizona.
Dr. Mead has always been intensely interested in science and art, which naturally led him to a field of dentistry. Dentistry allows Dr. Mead to use his knowledge of science and artistry together. He has continued his love of art outside of dentistry, exploring many forms including his favorite which is sculpture. Dr. Mead has numerous other interests including music, boating and flying. He is passionate about continuing his education in ancient world history, science, technology, philosophy and comparative religion. He will be married to his wife Patty Mead for over thirty years. They have two adult children and six beautiful grandchildren they enjoy spending time with.
Erica Houston, formerly, Erica Dunn, is a Lake Havasu City native who moved to the city at age 9. Erica considered dentistry as a career path after having significant exposure to the field after 5 years of wearing orthodontic appliances and braces. Dr. Houston attended the University of San Diego, where she majored in Business and minored in Biology and Chemistry. One summer, Erica shadowed Dr. Reese Mead. They developed an enjoyable mentor/mentee relationship and continued to keep in touch. She then attended Roseman University College of Dental Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and received awards for both her commitment to her committees and to her colleagues. Dr. Houston is overjoyed to return to her hometown, bringing along 9 years of accumulated education as she begins her career working alongside her wonderful mentor and colleague, Dr. Mead.

Dr Mead & Dr Houston are wonderful dentists and I would and have recommended them to several friends. They handle any dental problems quickly and efficiently. The staff is wonderful!

I chipped my 2 upper front teeth. Dr. Mead did an EXCELLENT job restoring them! They look perfect! Everyone was really nice and very professional. I was very pleased with my experience. By the way, I was a dental hygienist for my career so I know what I am talking about!

All of the staff are friendly and professional. I have been a patient for 20 years. They have kept up with technology for their equipment. Very accommodating with short notice emergencies. I moved to Las Vegas, NV 4 years ago, but keep returning as a patient.

I am so thankful I came across Dr. Houston she is absolutely amazing. I went in today for a tooth extraction. I was so nervous, shaking, crying and she was incredible. Totally calmed my nerves and made my visit good. Along with her assistant Mackenzie! She was by my side the entire time and made sure I was comfortable. I will 100% be coming back as my regular dentist. I can not leave out Irene. She as well is super sweet and very helpful from scheduling my appointment to check out. Thank you again. We retired in Havasu a couple years ago and went to another dentist. At first I was happy but started to feel like we were being led down a treatment road that was not necessary. Also the first procedure done by him became infected and I had to have a root canal. After checking with friends we found Drs Mead and Houston. Both wonderful Drs and there caring and honesty have saved both my wife and I from a lot of unneeded treatments and pain... Thank you again, Karl.

Woke up with throbbing pain from upper molar. Called as soon as I thought they would be open. Got me in just after lunch. Was only there 1hour and left feeling fantastic. Great price as well. Thank you.

I haven't been to the dentist in some time and so was a bit anxious. From the moment I walked in the facility, everyone was very warm and personable. Dr Houston was wonderful. I am so happy to have found a dentist I feel comfortable with.

The dental cleaning by Cory was excellent. She's very calm And caring! Explains each step of the process. As a gentle Steady touch. very thorough. The dental assisting was very confident and quick and taking x-rays. Also very pleasant. The radiology devices mono and painless. Dr. Houston Very invested in how are you doing and Concern with your overall health. Overall they take the time to listen and act on any health concerns. Thank you for your care.
