Dr. Chu is a board-certified orthodontist who received her D.D.S. and orthodontic degrees from New York University, College of Dentistry, and completed her residency at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Chu is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, and the Yonkers Dental Society, where she was a past President. She has been in private practice since 1999.
Dr. Chu is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghainese. She loves children, dogs, and Disneyworld! In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, playing the piano, traveling, and watching horror movies. Dr. Chu lives in Westchester with her husband and three children.
Dr. Zehra Pradhan received her Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. She obtained her Doctorate in Dental Science (D.D.S.) from Stony Brook University, School of Dental Medicine. She attended the University of Connecticut for her orthodontic residency and her Masters degree in Dental Science. Dr. Pradhan is fluent in Hindi. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and her two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and reading.

I had a very pleasant experience getting my braces on and off thanks to Dr. Chu. She's very professional and friendly with each patient, frequently checking in and making sure that they're doing okay. The procedure itself was efficient and the results are great! I would definitely recommend anyone looking to get dental work done to go to Dr. Chu.

Dr. Chu and the staff were Amazing! I am Very Happy with the results. I had my braces for less than 2 years and had them removed in August. The permanent retainers and night time retainers work very well. I highly recommend Dr. Chu!

Just took my braces off and rocking my new smile. Accessibility- located on Central Ave. and offers free parking. Setting Appointments- super simple and easy. Not hard to get a date scheduled and they are pretty flexible. Service- all of the staff are kind and very professional. They are willing and able to answer all questions and concerns. Never had any issues the duration of my treatment. Affordability- they work with you based on your individual needs. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is seeking orthodontic care.

We have been going to Dr Chu's office for many years. She corrected something complicated with my son's bite at a young age. It worked beautifully and he had no discomfort. My daughter had braces, and loved going to Dr Chu's office so much, she begged her to keep them on when it was time to have them taken off! And now my son has his braces on, and I elected to do Invisalign with Dr Chu, as the office is always such a pleasure to work with, the staff is so professional and welcoming, and Dr Chu's work is just so precise and beautiful. The prices were much less than I had expected when I heard what other people had paid to different practices over the years, and the way they set up the payments makes it very affordable. We cannot say enough good things about Dr Chu and her practice!

Dr. Chu is the best Orthodontist. She is extremely caring and takes the time to know the child. She consults with the parent of what has to be done. After 2 other kids I'm extremely happy that I was referred to her by my child's dentist. Everyone in the office is friendly which puts the child at ease. I'm back but this time for myself. I had such a positive experience for my granddaughter, I decided it was time to correct my teeth and bite. She takes the time to know your lifestyle and exactly how to fit you for braces. If I had her as child, I wouldn't have to have braces at the age of 72 years old. After 2 years, I have a beautiful set of teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Chu for Children and ADULTS. As a bonus, her staff is exceptional.

Dr Chu is very professional and the staff's are nice and very experienced. The Clinique is very cozy, look like a normal residential house from outside. The overall process takes me about 2.5 yrs (with few weeks gap due to Covid). It is definitely a life-time commitment. But I am very happy I get it done.

Dr. Chu is an excellent orthodontist. She was highly recommended by my children dentist and after my daughter was set up with braces I decided to get braces for myself. The doctor is very professional we never had to wait more that 5 minutes for appointment ( even in Covid times ) The doctor Chu discussed with me about my daughter teeth what she was trying to accomplish explained everything. With my personal teeth she gave me suggestion and also she communicated with my personal dentist about options for the best result. In general we highly recommend Dr Chu for children and adult orthodontist needs.

Dr. Chu treated my brother and I for braces. Although we had other options for an orthodontist, we felt that she was the best doctor to treat us, especially me. For years, general dentists told me to get a jaw surgery due to my jaw structure and having a class III. But I'm so happy to say that with Dr. Chu, I didn't have to get surgery and I ended up having the most beautiful smile at the end of my treatment. She listens and takes her time to understand what you are looking for, unlike other orthodontists that will treat you just to treat you. 15 years later, I still wear my retainers, maintain my checkups as needed and still have the perfect smile. Thanks Dr. Chu for helping me with this process! I highly recommend this practice!

My son had braces from another orthodontist and he was not happy with the result. Two years after his braces he wanted to have another braces done. I took him to Dr May Chu and boomed his happy with his teeth. Everybody he met commented on his teeth. The picture shows it all more than words can say. After my son's braces I decided to have another braces done even I'm already on my 50's. ( I have braces done 25 yrs ago and wasn't happy with the result also)today was a big day my braces were out. I couldn't be more happier. I'm extremely satisfied with my teeth. Best investment I gave to my self. Dr May Chu is an excellent orthodontist. She likes perfection, did not rush to take my braces out. She's caring and passionate of what she does. He office staff are all nice. The office location is excellent. The facility is clean. Overall it is a warm and welcoming environment. I am a healthcare professional and all I could say is Dr May Chu is the orthodontist you want to go to for all your orthodontist needs. Highly recommended.
