Dr. Mariana has an extensive background in general dentistry and orthodontics. She comes from a family of orthodontists, as both parents are orthodontists in Venezuela. Her father attended the University of Washington Orthodontic program, as did Dr. Mariana. She worked for three years as a general dentist before being accepted to the University of Washington Orthodontics specialty program.After completing her residency of two and a half years, Dr. Mariana has been practicing as a orthodontist for six years.She is also on the faculty at the University of Washington as a part-time instructor.It has been Dr. Mariana's dream to have her own practice.

I handle the day-to-day running of the office, and am the treatment coordinator. I work closely with patients and parents to get treatment started:reviewing the process, answering questions, and managing the paperwork and records.
Family keeps me busy when Im not at work. I have been married for 20 years and we have four wonderful children and two dogs. I love spending my free time with family, attending my childrens sporting events, and long walks with the dogs.

I work in our clinic, where I handle sterilization, preparation for procedures, and seat patients. I assist Dr. Max, chairside, place wires, take records, and also work in our lab to create retainers.

As an assistant, I sterilize and prepare the clinical area, seat patients, and assist Dr. Max with procedures. I also change out wires, take records, and encourage patients to keep up with home care and oral hygiene.
