I had an appointment with Dr. Lieberman for a filling earlier today. When I got there, he asked if I needed a shot before the filling; then assured me it would not hurt if I went without the shot. With some quiet trepidation, I agreed. Sure enough, the filling took a few minutes and it was completely painless. This is a testament to Dr. Lieberman's craft -- he is thoughtful, kind, and extremely skilled. His staff is warm and efficient! I have been visiting his office for the past few years and would highly recommend his services.

I've primarily had Dr Lieberman's partner Dr Ungar. One of my best experiences with a dentist, he takes the time to make sure you're happy and I trust that he's looking to do the best possible job rather than run you in and out. Technically skilled and honest is a great combo in an industry, that like many others, is incentivized to see as many patients as possible. I spent a lot of time researching dentists and have been super happy with him.

My nephew had a severe toothache, I make an appointment for him, we live in Staten Island, we go, so after, gas, tolls, my nephew sits in the chair, the doctor looks in his mouth, says cant help you, u need a orthodontist, ok no antibiotics, no clean the tooth area, not even 10 minutes and he charges him $115.00 for an office visit, REALLY!! What happened to decency smh...never again!

My whole family and I like Dr. Matt Lieberman's outgoing personality and professional care. Both Dr. Lieberman and his associate, Dr. Kimia Kohanbash, do excellent work. I've seen both of them for teeth cleaning and dental work and like them both.

I have been going to Dr. Lieberman for over 10 years, and visited recently for the first time during COVID. Everyone was accommodating and professional as usual, and I felt confident and safe with their new protocols. I have always felt confident in Dr. Lieberman's care and have recommended him to many friends and family members over the years.

I will definitely be back. They were friendly and upfront. My dentist was running late and I got a call to ask if I can come in later due to the delay. Appreciate they didnt keep my original time and make me wait. They didn't try to sell me anything or push me to buy a new nightguard from them. I felt the dentist was honest with me as I was worried I might have a cavity but she said none. Definitely felt reassuring they didn't see me as a cash cow. (Which I feel like some dentist have that perspective.) Previous comments mentioned their equipment seemed outdated but I had no problem and it seemed very sturdy and well maintained. Maybe it was the color of the equipment? But thats just decorative and not important in my opinion. Great dentist!

I used to go to Dr. Lieberman for maybe a year or two, until I started needing proper dental care. Here is my experience: I had a veneer that I lost while eating....well, I should probably say I swallowed it without even realizing... I immediately went to Dr. Lieberman to get it replaced, and after having a conversation with him, we agreed to have a crown installed in place of the veneer. After a couple of weeks I go back to the doctor's office to get the crown installed, and even after several tries the crown does not want to fit in my mouth: it is too large (not to mention the shade of the crown was much darker the my teeth). Dr. Lieberman proceed to grind down the crown as much as possible....still too large. At this point the Doctor decide the best course of action is to grind down my good teeth to make room for the oversized crown. In hind sight, I should have probably refused, but I didn't know any better, and gave my consent to proceed. Dr. Lieberman finally manage to fit the crown in, and I go home a happy camper. The day after disaster hit: I wake up with a headache. The crown is soo large it is pushing my good teeth inboard, causing me pain and discomfort. I decide to get a second opinion, and it is not a pleasant one. The other dentist, which I am not going to name, tells me the crown is way too large (surprise!), that is built with a technique and material considered obsolete, that the dentist who did this work should have not grinded down my good teeth and goes as far as suggesting me to sue the dentist. I decide to go back to Dr. Lieberman and ask him to remove the crown he had installed and get a proper new one installed. He does agree, but after getting in touch with the lab that made the crown, he suddenly changes his mind. While talking about the reasons for the sudden change of mind, he let me know the lab told him they were not going to fabricate a new crown as the one they had done was exactly right for the dental impression Dr. Lieberman sent them.... At this point I start loosing my chill: I demand he fixes the mistake that currently lodges in my mouth, and let him know I do not care whose fault is it. He refuses saying he did everything he could and that he cannot get a new crown without incurring in a loss, and gives me the dental impression he made for the large crown and suggest I get in touch with the lab myself to get a new crown. I am furious now: I don't care if you have to pay for the new crown out of your own pocket. I came to you to get a problem fixed, and all you did was making it worse and then refused to care for me. I ended up going to a different dentist (the second opinion guy), who did an excellent job. One last thing: Dr. Lieberman wife even had the audacity to call me demanding I pay 150$ no show fee after I did not go to an appointment scheduled before this all incident went down. Bottom line is, if you are looking for a dentist that will work for you, avoid this gentleman: his bottom line is more important than your health!
