For more than twenty years, Dr. Marvin Winter has provided state-of-the-art dental care in Decatur, Emory, and the area of Atlanta. He reliably serves the dental needs of families, business professionals, and medical personnel, and does so with thorough attention to detail and a patient-first focus.
Dr. Winter completed his Emory University Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984 and his general practice residency in 1985. He served as a full-time faculty member at the Emory School of Dentistry, providing leadership and key skills in various roles, including Assistant Professor of the General Practice program. In 1992, he moved from academia to private practice, opening his dental office in downtown Decatur. He has practiced general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry at the same location since.
Dr. Winter enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly. They are proud parents of one child. Dr. Winter is very active outside of his Decatur dental practice, and particularly enjoys outdoor sports such as baseball, camping, hiking, and fishing.

Dr. Winter is amazing, the office staff is very friendly and my hygienist is very detailed. I had a really challenging situation and after my consultation with Dr. Winters I knew I was in the right hands. He has a very friendly and warm demeanor that put me at ease immediately. I would highly recommend anyone considering him as your dentist it's time to make the appointment.

I absolutely loved this office. Before you schedule a cleaning, Dr.Winter will go over any xrays you may have. Me being 26 and already have alot of work done, he went over some recommendations as flouride toothpaste and a sugarfree gum. Did not recommend any treatment, my prior dentist wanted to do XY&Z. Dr. Winter is very conservative with teeth (if he can b!) Friendly, smaller practice.

I have been coming to Dr Winter for a couple decades now - my whole family does and we all love Dr Winter. He is very gentle. The hygienist changes now and then and some are more gentle than others, but I have always had extremely good care. I've had almost no dental work necessary - one cap from an injury. Their preventative care is excellent. Staff at the front desk are very nice and helpful. 6 stars.
