Dr. Schapiro has provided general dental care to Westchester area residents since 1979. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and his dental degree at New York University College of Dentistry. A post-graduate residency at Lutheran Medical Center allowed him to develop greater expertise in all phases of dental treatment. He subsequently acted as an attending doctor for new incoming residents at the Hospital. Dr. Schapiro entered private practice working with his father (also a general dentist) from 1979-1986.
Continually attending continuing education courses enables Dr. Schapiro to stay at the forefront of his field so that he can provide optimal care to his patients. This allows Dr. Schapiro to offer his patients the finest (cosmetic, periodontal, surgical, orthodontic, and restorative) dental care. He regularly attends courses focusing on diagnosis, restorative, periodontal, oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, and occlusion so that the most current treatment options are available to his patients.
Dr. Schapiro is a member of the American Dental Association and a Felow of the Academy of General Dentistry (awarded in 1982). He is also a member and active participant of the Ninth District Dental Society, The Scarsdale Dental Society, The Northeastern Gnathological Society, the Yonkers Dental Society, The Advanced Endodontic Study Club of Westchester and The NY Occlusal Study Group. Dr. Schapiro has completed the core curriculum at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersberg, Florida.
Dr. Schapiro resides in Pleasantville with his wife Anna Weber. His interests and passions besides his family anddentistry include photography, world travel, hiking and basketball. He has two beautiful, high energy daughters, Hannah and Rachel agesseven and five. At the present time he is doing alot more chasing than pacing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schapiro for many years. He is very knowledgeable and is dedicated to learning new techniques to improve your dental experience. He is patient and clearly explains why a procedure is necessary. He is caring and checks on his patients with a phone call to be sure they are doing well even after he has had a long day at the office. That is why I continue to travel for my dental health.

Dr. Schapiro was meant to be a dentist. I came to him MANY, MANY years ago even before moving to Hartsdale and he took me in right away due to terrible pain. He checks in on you ANY day of the week and makes sure you are cared for. Eventually, I moved to Hartsdale and now he is steps away...thank goodness!

Dr Schapiro is truly an amazing dentist. I was referred to him for a second opinion and after my first visit I knew I wanted him to be my dentist. He is honest, caring, and simply the best. There is no one else I would trust my teeth with. I highly recommend him. His office is very clean and his staff is great!

I've been a patient of Dr. Schapiro's for approximately 10 years. Dr Schapiro is the best dentist I've seen. How lucky I am to have him as my dentist. He has come into the office for me on his vacation when I've been in pain. Aside from his excellent dental work he is very caring. I would not hesitate to refer him to my friends and family.

Excellent care! The entire staff is amazing and the office is very clean! I've been going to Dr. Schapiro since I was young and I wouldn't trust anyone else! I recently moved back to the area, they all remembered me when I called for an appointment and got me in right away! Although I live 2 hours away I know I'm going to get quality care here!

I've been Dr. Schapiro's patient for at least 25 years. In that time, I've come to know him as being sincere, dedicated and thoroughly professional. An example...he knew I was edgy over a dental problem I saw him about one morning. He phoned me later that evening to see how I was doing. I really appreciated that. His ancillary staff is tops as well. I recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Schapiro has been my dentist since the early 90s and I travel from Manhattan which is totally worthwhile. He is caring and thorough, very versatile and meticulous in his work and will fit you into his schedule when something unexpected happens which was the case for me today. Even if you are not in the vicinity, his practice is an excellent choice!

I highly recommend Dr. Schapiro if you are looking for a top-notch dentist. I have been going to Dr. Schapiro for many years. There's a reason for this. A few weeks ago I had an emergency situation. This occurred on a late Friday afternoon. Dr. Schapiro waited for me and had to do a surgical procedure. He called me later that evening to see how I was feeling. I didn't pick up the phone in time, so he called back the next morning. His kindness and competency in taking care of my mouth is greatly appreciated. He is the best!
