Dr. Daniel Donohue was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He continued his education at the University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1986 and practiced as a general dentist until 1989. He then entered a post doctoral pediatric dentistry program and received his certificate in pediatric dentistry in 1991.
Dr. Daniel Donohue is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Fort Worth Dental Society.
Dr. Donohue believes in treating every child as if they were his own by providing dental care in a personal one on one positive atmosphere. He partners with parents to provide a compassionate, positive experience.
Dr. Marla Donohue, a native Texan, has been in private practice for 22 years. She is a 1991 graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio. Dr. Marla Donohue has designed her practice around pillars of offering the most technologically advanced and effective dental products available to patients in a spa like atmosphere. Her office exudes a pampering, spa like environment complete with aromatherapy oils, individual TVs above the patient, and massage chairs. Dr. Marla Donohue attends a significant amount of continuing education each year in order to remain on the fore front of dental care and the latest technology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Society, Texas Dental Society, and the Fort Worth Dental Society.
Dr. Marla Donohues practice philosophy is dedicated to meeting the dental needs of her patients, caring for her patients like people not cattle, and building long term relationships. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, gardening, Family Legacy Missions and volunteering with local charity organizations.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a 'Dental Home' for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.
It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as 'needle', 'shot', 'pull', 'drill' or 'hurt'. The office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message, but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child.
We invite you to stay with your child during examinations. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.

The staff is awesome! Laurie the Hygienist was very thorough and gentle removing stains and cleaning my teeth. Dr. M Donohue explained in detail everything that need to be done, even showed photos so that I could understand. LOVE THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!

My daughter had her six-year check up yesterday. Dr. Dan walked us through every step. I haven't learned that much about pediatric dentistry. He made my daughter very comfortable, and that is a massive victory, since she was very nervous going in. What impressed me the most was when he suggested we hold off on a procedure when he found out insurance didn't cover it. Dr. Dan is beyond knowledgeable, kind, caring and very gentle with the littles. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

She is the best! Kind and professional dentist! The staff is awesome! I was very nervous going to a new dentist as I already have a mouthful of expensive dental work. I have to admit the unpleasant pain associated with going to the dentist is not what you will get here. the staff is amazing and friendly. I have to say I will never "forget" a cleaning again!
