As a smile expert, I enjoy sharing my knowledge with patients and their dental team. From my undergraduate education to advanced orthodontic training and continuing education, I have focused on staying current on the latest innovations in the specialty.
By carefully evaluating each new option, I can integrate the best those that improve diagnostics, comfort, efficiency, and results into the practice. This allows our office to provide the finest orthodontic care possible.
I became an orthodontist because I love people and working with my hands. Great orthodontic treatment requires knowledge of growth and development, engineering, mechanics, and materials. It also requires me to be an attentive listener, creative thinker, and skilled motivator. All of these are my strengths and interests. There is simply no better profession for me!
Being in private practice affords me time to get to know each patient, personally, and to enjoy the changes they experience during treatment. It is deeply fulfilling to have a positive impact in peoples lives: confidence is a feeling and great smile adds confidence to each person as their self-esteem strengthens!

Time with friends and family is always my priority. I am also a triathlete and have completed 2-4 triathlons a year since 1988: thats over 95, in total! Carolyn, my oldest daughter, and I completed the Atlantic City Half Iron Man Triathlon in September 2016. I have also completed two New York City marathons and the 500-mile Anchor House Bicycle Ride for Runaways.
My other interests including surfing during summers at the Jersey Shore and skiing in the winter. And from 2000-2016 I had the pleasure of coaching youth lacrosse, soccer, and softball in the Hopewell Valley Recreation Leagues.
I have been building my team since 1994. It is my belief that all team members must share my vision, would never compromise clinical care, and always place patient safety at the forefront. This has led to our Dream Team.

My introduction to Dr. McDonough was in 1994, whenhe began treating the first of my three children.I joined his team as Treatment Coordinator in 2000. I meet with new patients, assist patients and parents with financials and scheduling, and make sure everyone understands the treatment goals. I love getting to know everyone and keeping up with their many interests and activities!
My husband and I havethree children, all with wonderful straight teeth and beautiful smiles, courtesy of Dr. McDonough. Wealso have three fun grandchildren whom I spend lots of time with. It certainly is enjoyable to see my grandchildren here in the office, as theyre now being treated by Dr. McDonough!
I attended technical school, started in the field in 1989, and was welcomed to Dr. McDonoughs practice in 2011. In addition to chairside assisting, I provide patient care, sterilization, fabricate many appliances in the lab and manage our inventory. Its rewarding to spend my days helping toimprovepeoples smiles with great coworkers and a caring orthodontist!
I have been a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant since 2000 and found my professional home with Dr. McDonough and this team in 2011. I enjoy assisting the doctor with procedures, providing care under his guidance, and having amazing coworkers! We all pull together on behalf of our patients and love creating incredible smiles!
I started assisting Dr. McDonough eight years ago and have been a licensed orthodontic assistant since 2001. My coworkers are like family to me, and it is a pleasure to work alongside them as we serve our patients. I was pleasedto join Dr. McDonough and this well-educated, experienced, and fun team in 2020.I started my dental careerin 1975as a Dental Assistant. Soon after, I earned my X-ray license and Certification in Dental Assisting and Orthodontic Assisting. I joined my wonderful coworkers and Dr. McDonough in 2020, bringing with me almost 30 years of experience as a CDA/RDA. I love being part of a kind and hardworking team that gives our all to our incredible patients!
I have worked for Dr. McDonough since 1995, having started my career in 1983 when I completed a certificate program in dental assisting. I am a NJ Registered Dental Assistant, a Certified Orthodontic Assistant, and have experience in general dentistry, oral surgery, and periodontics. I assist Dr. McDonough in clinical care, provide one-on-one care to patients, and love helping people smile more readily and confidently! Our team of professionals works in harmony to provide a seamless orthodontic experience, from beginning to finished, beautiful smiles!
Im Mom to three amazing young men, along with a black lab, Gabby, and a tuxedo cat, Mat, and a wife of 30 years to a very patient man. We live in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, which makes my morning drive about an hour: working with Dr. McDonough and this incredible team is worth it!

My experience with Dr McDonough and his magnificent team was an experience I shall never forget. My teeth has always been one of my biggest insecurities throughout the beginning of my lifetime. I've never felt as much confidence to present myself as much as I do now. What I've learned throughout the whole process is that time is the most efficient healer, and with enough patience and strength, a lot can change ones mind and soul into a much more beautiful being, inside and out. I've always felt very welcomed into their office at every appointment I've gone to. What a lovely, experienced crew! I most definitely recommend working with them. Keep on smiling!

I was treated by Dr. McDonough and his staff for two years. My two daughters were also treated with him as well. So there was no question in my mind as to who I wanted to treat me. The staff is warm, friendly and professional. Dr. McDonough is always thorough, spends the time needed, warm and just plain awesome. Thank you for making my smile beautiful again.

My son Elian was very well taken care of by Dr. Mark McDonough's practice. As the son of a dentist, I only wish I had had people like Dr. McDonough and his extremely capable staff when I was an 11-year old with crooked teeth. The diagnosis was measured and complete as my son's situation was complicated. It involved moving around some teeth, making some room for new ones to come, straightening them, etc. They have very modern technology and their team did a terrific job explaining what the treatment would be and how much it would cost and how our (modest) insurance coverage would help. Over many years, and dozens of appointments, we hardly ever had to wait long and check-ups, follow-ups and the course of treatment was measured and well-executed. Cost was as anticipated and . . . The results were outstanding. My son, who spends a lot of time in front of audiences and crowds, has terrific teeth and Dr. Mark McDonough's care was/is the reason why!

The end results of Dr. Mark McDonough's Invisalign treatment plan was amazing. My teeth are absolutely straight, beautiful and healthy and I feel really good when I receive compliments on my new smile. And the process was incredibly easy and absolutely pain-free. Dr. McDonough and his team were warm, friendly and always happy to see me. They had my best interest at heart for the entire treatment plan. The team thoroughly explained the Invisalign process and answered all my questions. In a nutshell, Dr. McDonough provided me with a perfect personalized Invisalign plan, meticulous execution, incredible results, and a fair competitive price! I 100% endorse Dr. McDonough and his group. They are the BEST!

Coming here was a very expensive and damaging mistake for us. The very prolonged and complex treatment to "save" a tooth did not work at all and ended up with filings in almost ALL of my sons teeth as a result of it. Very disappointing and extremely expensive. I truly wish we had never come to this practice

Dr. McDonough treated me a few years ago and did an amazing job! My mouth was too small for my teeth and I even had an oddly shaped tooth that he was able to literally spin 90 degrees over a period of time to create more room for my teeth to grow in to. He went above and beyond to save the tooth and save my smile! I could not be happier with everything this doctor and his office has provided! Highly recommended!
