Akron and Canton area dentist, Dr. Mark Grucella is a life-long resident of the Akron area. Dr. Grucella graduated from Revere High School and received a B.A. in Zoology from Miami University. He was conferred his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1998.
Dr. Grucella is Chief of Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry for Family Dental Team, Inc. He is a member of the Akron Dental Society, Ohio State Dental Association, American Dental Association and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. James D. George is a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio. He is a graduate of East Akron High School, the University of Hawaii and Kent State University. He was conferred his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1963 and has been providing dental patients of all ages and from all walks of life with high quality dental care for over 50 years.
Dr. George has the unique distinction of being a former Olympic weight-lifting athlete and medalist, having won a bronze medal in the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games and a silver medal in the 1960 Rome Olympic Games.
Patients continue to share their compliments on how pleased they are to have Dr. Sajja as their dentist and always look forward to their next visit. They find her to be naturally compassionate and extremely eloquent in delivering her care.

I have now been to the Fairlawn location and the Lakemore location for work and both were amazing. Dr. Hurd at the Lakemore location was so kind and caring and gentle while extracting a tooth that had needed done for quite some time. Every single assistant and even the receptionist were extremely pleasant and made my experience the best I have ever had. They will go above and beyond for you and it truly shows. So glad I chose this team for my dental procedures!!!

I had a office visit. I was having pain in a molar. I needed a root canal. They booked me out about a month and a half. Well my pain got so bad after I called three weeks later and said can you please help me. I was taking Motrin for 3 weeks and was on antibiotics for as long. The office manager answered and was rude from the start. Told me they had nothing no appointments. She was so rude. I have so much pain!! I will never go back. Not a dentist. More of a implant, and injections for your face kind of place. Not a true dentist office where they care. She could of helped a lot more. Everyone knows when you have dental pain it's the worst! Find another true dentist. With a nice staff who actually CARE!

I apologize for having to leave this review but I would have been greatly appreciative had someone saved me from this lifetime nightmare. I have no life due to dentures that never fit. I have to use fixodent at least 8x a day just to complete a days work. I have no social life no dating or even dinner with friends or family. I ha e been horribly sad and misersble the past 7 years and would never recommend this place. Never again will I feel confident or normal or even be able to enjoy a day without the stress or embarrassment . Its ok. I accept That I will forever be a prisoner of these four walls .

Dr Mark Grucella, and James George dentist office are exceptional. I had a really bad experience with my first dentures. They did another set, and it was the total opposite experience. I wish I went to them first. Great staff too. Best overall experience.

I do not recommend this dental practice. RUN..... If you do choose this practice, get everything in writing because they do not disclose important information customers and clients should be advised of. There are many excellent dentists with excellent staff members that are courteous and helpful, Mark Grucella's practice and staff members is NOT one of them. If a coupon is offered, No office staff or any employee there will disclose any exclusions to you that may be part of using such coupon. It will be the customers responsibility to ask and get it in writing if you can from them, i doubt they will give any such exclusions in writing since they do NOT verbally inform you of any, so BEWARE. I have reached out to the Ohio State Dental Board due to their unethical business practice. "Thank you for referring your complaint regarding DR. MARK S GRUCELLA to the Ohio State Dental Board. The Dental Board appreciates your willingness to provide information on a possible violation of the Dental Practice Act."

Jordyn did an excellent job with my cleaning! All the staff were very professional and friendly, and I had no issues rescheduling when I unexpectedly had to cancel my original appointment due to work.

I am not a huge fan of the dentist, it's a stressful situation. so it always makes me glad to get one that doesn't treat me like a miscellaneous patient. They offer more than the average dentist office, and are not quick to pull or root canal, in order to save time.

I don't suppose anyone likes going to the dentist even for a cleaning. However, this is an amazing group of people! They got me in super fast for a bad tooth and on the necessary antibiotics. Unfortunately, I had to have a root canal but the doc was amazing. She took her time and made sure I was numb. Asked a lot if I was experiencing pain. Explained what she was doing every single little step of the way. Even offered to hold my hand when one nerve was causing issues. I'm gonna keep going to them and still have to get my crown - but you'll like this place.

I was lied to multiple times by the receptionist who are not well trained. Then was promised a service that they then refused to provide. I was scheduled for an extraction with a doctor who doesn't extract teeth and was not informed of this until AFTER they took over 200 dollars in unnessisary exrays. When trying to get the issue resolved Dr. Grucella banned me from his services and offices. They have refused to allow me to have my files. They said it's their property and will not give them to me or send them to another dentist their "lawyer", or who was claiming to be one, said my medical files are not pertinent to me. He also claimed I was refunded which I haven't been. This company also hangs up on me EVERY SINGLE CALL when I start asking questions. They are pulling some serious scams here.

Terrible service took a month to get a appointment then two weeks ago I gave them my new insurance information for a appointment today 6-5-2020 get there and she said I didn't have insurance well my company faxed over information and then they called insurance...then she hangs up after a few minutes and let's a person in then tells me my insurance company system is down and they wont be seeing me today...I got out to my car and called anthem right away I'm talking to a rep he said they are definitely not down . This cost me 350.00 in wages for the day and now Monday morning I will be at affordable dentures same day service and 450.00 cheaper for the same dentures

I had a great experience, not only were the staff and Dr. Hurd pleasant to me I heard them being pleasant to everyone who came in. It was apparent that the patient's well being is very important here.

I was told my teeth needed pulled but that I'd get dentures. I did. They have never fit correctly. The top plate has always been too big for my mouth. Every time the Dr would say we could fix it this way or that, the technician said no. I was told I'd have to wait for a year to have the bite relined. I made the appointment after the shut down lifted, yet they cancelled on me. I am now told they no longer take my insurance. The dentures are so ill fitting they hurt my gums and give me a headache if I wear them. Thanks Dr Hurd and associates. For making me completely toothless.

Had been going to this dentist for over 4 years, called to schedule an appointment and they told me they couldn't find my name in the system, never suggested to add me or schedule me in. Decided to go to a new dentist and they found so many things that this dentist had missed..do NOT reccomend

Just ask my manager at work how terrified I was to go to the dentist. Dr. Sasha is a life-saver!!! I told my manager, "When the doctor examined me with that sharp instrument they use, she didn't hurt me once."
