Dr. Mark Britton is from Madisonville and attended dental school at The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. After graduation, Dr. B completed extensive training in cosmetic dental restorations and pulpal therapy (root canals) at The Las Vegas Institute and The Scottsdale Center for Advanced Dental Studies. It was after this training and a few years of practice that Dr. Britton was fully convinced that his purpose in the dental field was to treat kids and teens. He could teach them how to care for their teeth properly so that they could avoid the major dental work he had been trained to perform. Hethenchoseto undergo additional pediatric dental training through a mini-residency at the University of Floridas dental school.

I love working with children, getting them off to the right start, and giving them tools for healthy teeth for a lifetime, Dr. B says. I believe educating children and adolescents about good habits is the key to a lifetime of good oral health.

Dr. B and his wife, Summer, keep busy with their four beautiful childrenone son and three daughters! You can also count on Dr. B, a huge Vols fan, to keep the office in the know on all things UT football and basketball related. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys following World Cup Soccer. In his free time, Dr. B enjoys playing soccer, snow skiing, and fishing on the Tellico River.

Dr. Turner completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, receiving a B.S. degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where he earned his dental degree and completed orthodontic training.

Dr. Turner stays on the cutting edge of orthodontics by maintaining memberships with the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and the Second District Dental Society.

He is a lifelong Vol and went to UT before studying dentistry at The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. After graduation, Dr. Darryl completed an additional two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry at UT Memphis, where he received extensive clinical, emergency, and surgical training.

Dr. Darryl chose pediatric dentistry after spending time in a pediatric dental clinic with Dr. Ken Carruth, one of his favorite dental school professors. Dr. Carruth felt that Dr. Darryl had a talent for working with children and his encouragement led Dr. Darryl into the career he loves. When he is not saving the world one baby tooth at a time, Dr. Darryl loves traveling and spending time with his wife, Jennifer. Some of his favorite hobbies are water-skiing on Norris Lake in the summer, snow skiing in the winter.

Dr. Hollingsworth, or Dr. Jim, as youll hear him called around the office, is a native Knoxvillian. Dr. Jim attended Farragut High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for undergraduate studies and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis for dental school. While in dental school, Dr. Hollingsworth received scholarships and awards for leadership because of his involvement in several academic organizations.

Dr. Hollingsworth served as both the president of the Honor Council and the largest dental school organization, the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Hollingsworth is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Katie. In his spare time, Dr. Hollingsworth and his wife like to spend time with their families and be anywhere outdoors with their dogs, Tucker and Sadie.
